Also, the density of alcohol is much less than that of water so a person (mostly water) will not float.

    ...Methanol!

Just imagine.. Even in normal conditions simply approaching the moat would be dangerous because traces of methanol being in the air that cause painful reactions on eyes and respiratory system. On top of that it's toxic, it hits central nervous system and causes blindness and death.

And if people were to wear masks I could always just lit the whole moat.

Protip: waterguns don't require permits, they can be loaded with methanol which too doesn't require a permit. Use an adjustable nozzle that can be switched between mist spray and narrow stream for long range.
Protip2: replace the source of your sprinkler system with methanol canister and complete the design with remote ignition system.

Imagine a tank with 5 barrels with 72 angle difference to each other. Now, imagine that the turret spins and each cannon has an autoloader. The tank is thus able to fire at any direction at any target within ~0.3 seconds since spotting the target and is also able to maintain a constant barrage on any spotted enemy target.

I have a ton of these designs up my sleeve. It's a fucking pity I can't afford to build a home of my dreams. Imagine an underground version of pyramids fusioned with labyrinth and all sorts of deadly devices and traps.

Fortresses are a bit dull though, they all inherently have weaknesses since their systems have thresholds and so forth.

Best place to be would be a dense asteroid field around a planet that circles around a neutron star or pulsar so that you could maintain your position in the asteroid field so that the planet would shield you from radiation.

You have to think about logistics though. How are you gonna make sure the workers who build your doom fortress don't get ripped up by micro-meteorites in the asteroid field or get rad poisoning from the pulsar? The space union is not gonna be happy about these working conditions.

Micro-meteors are not that big issue deep in the asteroid field, however they are en-route there and also radiation is horrible before entering the magnetic field of a planet. Many ships and many more workers would be lost, indeed. It's a bitch of an issue to get myself alive there, there's things like neutron activation which irradiates even the radiation shields of the ship I would need to use to get myself there.

But still, once you get set up there, it's well worth the hassle. There are few places that are more "leave me alone" than this place. It's also quite rare to have an asteroid field around a planet with strong magnetic field in a neutron/pulsar star system. Even then it's likely that the magnetic field won't shield from all radiation and one has to be able to maintain a position in the shade of the planet. Since neutron stars are so small it would be possible to be situated in the asteroid belt that is orbiting the star and thus remain in shade of the faster moving planet by compensating with engines within the asteroid field and acquiring more fuel by mining the asteroids. The engine burns would be unnoticeable due to the presence of both the asteroid field and the neutron star, which should preferably be a pulsar.

Not really. Ionizing radiation as well as neutron activation are just as dangerous to robots.

Golems! Exactly. Also, after spending time in that system they'll be radioactive lead golems! So they're merely buffed!
