Man I swear Slidin' Go has like the worst quirk ever. Even Deku's was better back when he didn't actually have one. It's like his power is that he got stuck with whatever random thing his five-year-old came up with when he was doodling superheroes.
Except for half of class A arn't most of them weird "what the hell kinda power is this?". Well and most of the actual heroes have good ones.
True but most of them are useful in at least some capacity. Even Tail is a stocky tail you can hit stuff with. Slidin' Go's power though is just that he hovers slightly above the ground. It doesn't make him faster or anything, he just doesn't have to move his feet and that's the entire quirk. I kinda wonder if the only reason he's a pro hero is because somebody with a mean streak thought it was funny.
Watchin' Tsukimich. It's basically Overlord except the OP protagonist isn't trying to be terrifying but since everyone can see mana he looks like five thirty-story tall flaming demons marching on wherever he goes, and he can only speak monster languages so all his minions are things like spiders and orcs and lizardfolk.
Turns out you can overdub Kill la Kill with Ed, Edd n Eddy and it stays the exact same show. Also... if you do that with the Tournament of Power it's dramatically improved.
I know I'm showing my Oldtaku roots, but anyone remember VOTOMS? The nostalgia hit me hard today. https://www.theskjaldborg.com/index.php?threads/i-bought-a-silly-thing-i-dont-need-but.12949/ I also picked up the whole series. Who's up for a streaming party? The quality is shit in this video but here's a taste:
That sounds like fun. Maybe it could become a regular thing if enough folks are interested. My weekends are pretty solidly committed atm, but I don’t think we have anything on Thu/Fri evenings at present.
Watchin' Revolutionary Girl Utena, which for some reason is evidently being rebroadcast. It's nice seeing the 80's and 90's anime aesthetic again.
