    Sounds fucking amazing.
Yes, I get it. We're not allowed to expect it to be remotely serious. "hey, imagine if they like, you know man, like totally fell down and then she would come in and they'd look like they were..." -"haha, that sounds like a blast, we'll try to add that in!"

Later everyone says "well, how could it have worked from that impossible situation we were put in?"

When I was working on SWTOR for Bioware, we were told by Lucasfilm that we had to cut out a bunch of the jokes and humor in quests and just ambiently existing in the game, because, as the dickless wonder at LF put in his email, it "wasn't appropriate for subject material of this gravity" referring to the whole SW universe.

The lead writer responded with a page full of nothing but quotes from the movies containing every joke, innuendo and humorous reference from the scripts, and CCed George's personal email address.

We ended up getting to keep about 60% of the humor references in the game, up from the 0% we were allowed before. We also never heard from that particular LF employee ever again.

Adventure / RPG game without a single joke.. yup. All it would have bee missing was a ton of micropayments that would have totaled 500$ just to finish the whole game.

Movie is different though. If it's 2 hours and it's filled with Jar Jars that are not fun, it does hurt the show.

Similarly, take KOTOR on which I spent several hundreds of hours and finished the game at least 5 times by now. If a typical non-linear playthrough is 30-50 hours or more, the jokes are very welcome.
