    ... and that isn't even half of what we've done! :D

    That sounds awesome dude. We are supposed to have good weather for the next while too.

    Unfortunately I have to withdraw my invitation for crash space here on the Island as I will be in toronto for 10 days from this Friday.

    No exaggeration necessary: leather gauntlets w/ steel plates, trenchcoat, wide-brimmed hat, katana. He just walked past the window of a shop we were in. He turned a corner threw a smoke bomb before I could snap a picture. :sad:

    No worries, dude. We have been crazy busy every day just trying to hit all the sights in and around Vancouver. We've been here two weeks and only scratched the surface. Maybe next time. :)

    =====

    I think my body is far more suited to this coastal northern climate. A bit surprised it has been bright and sunny the past few days. Have some gorgeous photos to show later.

    In other news, I found an awesome T-shirt shop that makes their own stuff. Want to get something to commemorate the trip. Nothing that is trademarked. Suggestions are welcome.

    4/20 here was nuts. You should se Granville St. The cops just sit. watch, and do nothing.

    That's 4/20 basically anywhere in the country. Same with Parliament hill, with 18,000 + people, just smoking. :)

    Back home in florida. I miss vancouver's weather already. I miss a lot of other things already. All jokes aside, Canadians are amazing people. Vancouver is literally a crossroads of many cultures and the Canadians here seem happy to have them. No where else have I met people from every corner of the world easily within walking distance. I highly recommend everyone take a visit there. We were there two weeks and still didn't get to see everything.

    Looking north from Granville Bridge to south-side of Downtown Vancouver; where we spent most of our time (Vancouver is HUGE!). Directly below this view is Granville Island; artsy-fartsy place that attracts a ton of tourists and artists with money to burn. Also home to the Granville Island Brewery (the Cloak & Dagger Dark Ale is kickass) and an excellent farmers & fish market.

    Navy girl (black jacket) and myself (red shirt) with new friends (left to right: two french girls and a german couple) at Stanley Park (Lions Gate Bridge in the background). Stanley Park borders the north side of Downtown Vancouver. We teased the german couple a lot about being terrible at smiling. They were actually very friendly people, though.

    A bird's eye view of Stanley Park to help you with your bearings. Stanley Park is HUGE! It will take you the better part of a day on a bike to see the whole thing (1,001-acres!). I highly recommend renting from YesCycle. They have very good rates and don't nickle-n-dime you like some places. The north-side of Downtown Vancouver can be seen in the bottom right. The bridge crossing to the north is Lions Gate Bridge. It also designates North Vancouver (top right) from West Vancouver (top left). Further to the north is Grouse Mountain (highly recommended!)

    Tim Hortons is to Canada what Starbucks is to the United States except it is fucking amazing and anyone who says otherwise is a liar. This picture was taken at the corner of Granville and Nelson. Granville street is hipster/hippie central... it is also where I spotted the fabled Street Samurai (no picture, sadly). You will also find quite a few homeless here... but not as many as the infamous East Hastings.

    Dawww...

    Anyway, you might be surprised to know that Toronto is much the same as Vancouver, if with a little more of a "big busy bustle" sorta vibe. And I'm glad you could see Canada and it's people up close and personal. Not all of the stereotypes are true!

    Well okay, maybe most of them....
