So between insane work hours and then starting and writing music for my newest band I haven't been around a lot lately. Figured I'd give you a taste of what I have been up to. We are currently tracking a full album and with working 50-55 hours a week + tons of time spend recording and polishing up songwriting I am one tired motherfucker.
PS this was from our first show and we were.. drunk... Its better in the unfinished studio recording (and we just have rough tracks for the guitars/bass and vocals, but the final drum tracks done, lol)
A guy I know at work has a band, does a bit of local gigs and sells art as well. http://m.reverbnation.com/artist/gauge73/songs Link to his stuff. In some of the songs from what I know he's playing every thing, recorded and then over lay with next instrument.
Nice. Punk influenced...not sure if the genre is considered "punk" tho. 15 years ago I would have said "all punk." What do you consider it? (I like it btw.)
Wow, for drunk/non-studio that is awesome. Keep up the good work. Unfortunately, we already had your Viking Funeral.
No excuses! The live version sounds great and has that cool live spirit about it as well. I much prefer live music because of the imbued fleeting sense of creation. Also, I usually much prefer bands who's records are similar to their live performance, of course depending on genre and so.
Yeah, I always prefer to have the same sound live as on the recording. For a lot our stuff we modify the guitars to an extent as I always write for 3-4 guitar parts which is impossible to play live.
Wait... if Chris is back... then who's body was that we sent off in the boat at the funeral? Nice music btw Chris. can't wait to hear the non-drunk version!
Puzzling.. Shit! It's not Chris, something else came back! Spoiler: NSFW Hey Chris! Nice band, how you do... URGHHH
I lurk every day and keep up with the forums. I just hate posting on my phone, lol. Stupid internet blocks on my work computer :/
