Well, depends on the fuse on the embedded change, but I reckon it's going to be the only gun in the game where you are going to try and purposely shoot for the thickest part of the armor to push more metal through and guarantee the fuse detonates.

The nice thing about it is even the HEAT round was pretty effect because they slapped driving bands on it and didn't fuck around with the powder charge. It flew pretty fast and thus it hit what you wanted it to (unlike WWII-era HEAT rounds that were driven from the muzzle with Zippo-fluid and a good fart).

Yep - no TD's, but the Light tank line goes all the up to Tier IV or V.

Also, I see the T32, but not the T29 (both existed) and to help fill out a Heavy Line, they put the Sherman Jumbos to the Heavy Line. Suppose the T1 and T14 are still on their way.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one wondering about the jumbos and the lack of the t29, sad that there aren't any tank destroyers .

I assume that should be followed by a "yet" - they simply can't leave out American TD's, that would be a travesty.

It'd be like the American Flag... but without stars.

The Wolverine and Hellcat both served vital roles in fighting German Heavies, and the Jackson was one of the first American units in the field to carry the 90mm AT gun.

The machine gun spam is annoying but once you get the M3 Lee, it becomes seriously fun (due to it being massively undertiered).

MGs are actually decent airplane defense at lower tiers.

i have tried the american light tanks now and i am at the M5 Stuart but because im not a tester i cant get any further then that unless i buy one of the american tank packs

I like them but ground forces still have alot of issues that need to be dealt with

Earlier today in a game a friendly reversed started reversing when i was behind him. My tank started jumping around and i ended up on top of him and suddenly my crew died and it was shown that he killed me. I was in the Pz.38(t) Ausf F and he was in a Pz III.

Also, MGs shooting down trees like they were nothing :wat:

Well I've been at it for a few days - have the first Shermie unlocked, the Lee is actually fun (and not made fun of) in this game and machine-guns are actually useful. The Ma-Deuce on the M4's pintle is enough to rip a Pz.II and other smaller tanks right up, not to mention most SPAA.

Now if we could only get the kiddies to stop spamming MG fire at spawn, that'd be great.

Got my M4 and M4A3/105 unlocked yesterday.

Both are beasts when you keep the hull angled but the 4.7 rating on the 105 puts you in matches with Tigers... Which is not fun.

Recently learned how to use the Lee (ie: finally bound a key to switch to the secondary 75mm gun) and absolutely wreck shit with it in it's intended role: Find a lane. Own the lane. Hope your flanks don't get rolled up.

Unlocked and am refitting the Chaffee. It's.. different. A light tank that moves and shoots like a medium unless you're popping out of cover to take a shot. In that instance, it is hard to surpass it's nimbleness and profile. I only wonder why it's so lackluster in a sprint. I have M4's out-accelerating me on the first 100m but I tend to pass them over longer distances.

All said, it's a damn fine tank to flank an enemy rush or hunt down their flankers. Just a shame when you're the only one out there...

Agreed with the Lee - in a point-blank pitched fight, spamming the 37mm and 75mm really helps it shine up close, and the large crew compliment means (besides the decent forward glacis and sloping) it can take a heavy beating, lose crew, and still fight well.

The Chaffee's performance in acceleration is due to lower engine power and sheer torque - lighter engine, and lighter overall tank means that they could give the weaker engine longer gear ratios to work with, hence, you outrun M4's even though they have more power going to the tracks off the line.

    I dislike the M4 105.

Edit: I intensely dislike the ballistic performance of either ammo type and f&$%ing hate getting stuck in higher tier fights.

I'm beginning to share your dislike - grinding with your HE ammo until you get something that actually does more than scorch paint is fucking tedious. The ballistics aren't nearly as bad as early Panzer IV Short-barrelled rock-lobbers, they are rather atrocious. They really need to reduce the BR on that thing.

It's not even that well protected - The 75mm L/43 gun from the F2 works just fine against it.

The problem with it is that it can knock out german guns with near misses. They are made of paper mache atm, and while it will change eventually, its like the 122 on the Russian side, track em, flank em, kill em. Sound? Sure. Possible? Not fucking likely.

    Onto the M6..

It's.. special. And partly broken and I didn't use it for more than half a dozen fights until I bought the Cobra King with Eagles I've had for over a year. *shrug*

M4A3-E2 Jumbo (Cobra King and normal share the same stats)

This thing is hilarious. Soaks hits so well you can earn the top spot sitting in one place while never firing a shot. Not that you'd do much good in a head-on engagement. The down-tiered 75mm can't touch Panthers or Tigers from the front and is iffy from the flank. It has it's weak points from the front: MG port, transmission, and (not that anyone seems to be able to shoot at it while hull-down or point blank) the top/forward slope of the turret.

I've had matches in this thing where I pushed to a painfully obvious position in front of three to four germans and soaked shots long enough to let the rest of the team flank. It's like being the tank in an MMO. Despite it's inability to hurt anything, the Jumbo draws a -lot- of threat.
