I'm waiting for better AI scripting at the moment, but when I get back, I want to build a wide-orbiting station and turn meteor showers back on. that would be fun
Wonder if my station I'm building now would work. well at least as a test station. has 2 smallish hangers and 2 docking rings for large ships. and I'm using as many vanilla blocks as I can.
Update 01.095 - Rebalancing of systems and components, Tutorial scenario all reactor output is 3 times what it was.
don't think AI is coming for awhile magnus. but who knows. I actually want to say AI is a part of planets or the new multiplayer code.
simply amazing. for anyone who wished there was more stuff happening in Space Engineers... here's the proof: now if i could just travel forward two years to the day after i have graduated from nursing school
I would like nothing better than to recruit the old Starmade/SE crowd for this... even get a dedicated server going, but I don't think I have the time right now. Would be great for the holiday break though.
Player VS. AI example: autopilot avoidance systems do work now, but you have to account for deceleration and size of the ship. in the above video, he simply made the waypoint too close to the asteroid. still a great video and good example of what to expect. AI is completely moddable too. It is almost certain we can expect to see more advanced and deadly AI. I can definitely see repair & rearming from regular combat becoming the deciding factor on ship sizes; those massive ships are cool, but they will be impossible to maintain unless you have the crew to support them. Limitations on the game are slowly being peeled away. Quite exciting stuff.
