Man I think Im sold competitive sound awesome. And I need a game like this now that Valve ruined CSGO with the introduction of a 1shot kill revolver this week. Since I heard Silver 4, does it have the same ranking system as CSGO? Silver 1-elite, Gold Nova 1-4, MG1-MGE, DMG, Legendary Eagle, LEM, SMFC, Global Elite?
Also, ranked is so, so, so much more cordial than casual. There are still shitbirds, obviously, but the vast majority of people I've played ranked with are awesome.
Well I went ahead and bought it. Ofc being the CS veteran that I am I thougth very highly of myself and started my first Situations straight up on Realistic. NOOOOOPE. Got my ass handed. So I settled for Hard and now I am doing those on hard, but even on Hard I'm not going trough it easily. Got to say the A.I is much smarter and better in this game than in CSGO. Also ADS takes some getting used to again. Having alot of fun tough and looking forward to my first pvp matches. How many europe based players do we have in R6S anyway? Would love to team up in pvp after all .
going to have to start using ash a whole lot more, never considered the drone/ceiling shot combos before
I'm getting really frustrated with multiplayer. It seems no matter what I try I'm always terrible. Try new operators - murdered. Try new tactics - murdered. Try new equipment - murdered. I don't know how to make myself better at this game.
Finally got lvl 20 and got into ranked mode. First match was a blast, I come in like "Hey guys first ranked here" like the little unexperienced boy I was and ended up carrying the match and had a K/D of liek 10-1 at the end. 2nd match was a blast too where I played like 7-0 or smth. And then the other 3 matches where a chore. Unlike in the first 2 matches there was no communication. It was yet another casual game just with ranking. Really dissapointing. May have also met a cheater as he was carrying way too hard and never checked the wrong corner. But maybe he was just so damn good who knows. Either way, I find that the more I learn the map the better I get. I dont expect to play to my fullest until I know every map by heart, like I do in CSGO. I doubt I will anytime soon tough.
Saw a review where the reviewer ducked when he saw someone about to to shoot down a hall, and the rest of his team was killed. He was immediately accused of hacking and kicked from the match. The community for this game sounds absolutely terrible.
It is. Just had 2 ranked matches, one everyone in my team leaves at once (haha funny), and in the second in the enemy team 1 guy kills everyone. Its just awful.
Maps I'm starting to get. The first part about aiming level makes a lot of sense and is probably why I get insta-killed while I can empty a clip into somebody and it does nothing.
Matimio, and even more so, LevelCap who he plays with are great on dissecting a game's mechanics to show how to be more effective. Watching them play is just sickening. JackFrags who also plays with them is another that is brutal to watch. I've started trying to watch all their videos from even the betas to see how they approach the game to attempt to improve my own play style. The headshot anticipation is something that I need to refine, with playing a whole lot of Terrorist Hunt I would always go for head level when an enemy is standing. Even if I was a little low the recoil from the first would place the second at head level. Now I'm having to relearn to place that point lower for the crouching that takes place in multi player.
I've found the community in ranked to generally be pretty nice, actually. You're going to get douchebags no matter what game you play though. This is certainly friendlier than counter strike ever was to me.
