Whats the difference between warrior and fighter? Two handed vs sword and board? I assume warrior is more offensive focused and the fighter a bit more defensive / tank?

Warrior has a higher attack stat gain per level. They also have augments to make them tankier without a shield. They also have some hit-me-hit-you attacks where they leave themselves vulnerable to damage for a little bit for a stranger attack, or counter by increasing damage for the attack with damage taken during the chargeup. Obviously with a two handed sword they can strike at enemies farther away

Worth noting is that the Warrior also has more 'superarmor' frames during many of their attacks where the game considers you nigh untouchable.

Tzeentch and I are starting to coordinate our pawns' builds, since running two Fighters and a Mage tends to slow things down a bit. I'll likely switch (shutup)Maeg to a Sorcerer this weekend to get her MAtk up.

Looking at my own stats, everything is right at or above 400 except MDef and MStr, which means it's time for a career change. I'm looking favorably at Magic Archer.

What does your arisen look like? And are there any good moments/screenshots from your playthrough?

    Featuring the best midboss...

Seriously. Go after him without mages. He is 10 levels of pissed off.

My pawns name is Zoe. Lvl 17 or something Archer. I don't know if her stats are good or anything. Basically just winging it so far. Running Warrior (myself), Archer (Zoe), and two Sorcerers. Pretty much destroy everything we come across.

Feel free to look my pawn up and use her.

Finished my first playthrough the other day. Holy Christ. The plot in this game makes other games look freakin' shallow.

So.. I'm trying out Mystic Knight (combo of Fighter and Mage) for a few levels and I'm torn.

On one hand, you get some pretty amazing nukes with spells (using a staff) and a great deal more survivability over a regular cloth wearer.

But on the other hand, you are stuck spamming a ranged spit-ball attack when your stamina is down and are sorta worthless fighting anything big enough to climb. Shield buffs last for a decent length of time, provided you sit through the cast charge-up, but I've had trouble blocking the big attacks from mobs larger than a troll.

1h/Shield is fine, but you miss out on the best of the Fighter tree and have none of the nuke potential of a Mage/Sorc. Climbing and spamming light attacks is functional, but tends to be boring.

Self buffing weapons (both 1h and Staves) are pretty neat, but they seem to fade too quickly and the cast animation will get you killed for only a slight increase in damage (so far).

Ok... Grabbed this game on a whim after hearing that it DIDNT suck with M/KB ( i literally abhore using a game controller)... i typically play a Mage in games like this... i never played the original since i refuse to associate with console peasants.:viking:

Ninja EDIT: why is there no PC Master Race smiley????? we needs one quickly.

Real EDIT.. will finish DLing in a few minutes and i will try to NOT suck... cant promise anything, because as usual, i have refused to read spoilers/hints/tips.

Honestly its pretty straightforward. The combat is light attack, heavy attack, and special moves. Big monsters require some climbing / focus firing, and quests are just found around and aren't very complex. You can't really screw up your character.
