Been talking about doing this with the regulars. Just some highlights for now (will post more details when I have them fleshed out): Starting with PvE, but leaving room to expand into PvP if there is enough demand. For PvE, all players must pick the same side (Axis or Allies), but may choose any associated division in game. Persistent overworld campaign map tracked on Roll 20. All combat resolved in skirmish mode using campaign map parameters (ie. map selection and OpFor strength). Starting force strength will be deliberately small compared to usual gameplay to reduce micromanaging. Players may expand unit strength by completing campaign objectives (the opposite may also be true for failures). Available units will also be limited by their Phase A, B, & C designation. At the start of the campaign, only Phase A units will be available. This will progress over the length of the campaign as objectives are met. Main goal is to create simple, but interesting rules that anyone can immediately pick up and understand. Starting unit strength will be TWENTY less than maximum total AP with only Phase A units available. An example of a player's starting force has been provided below: With 16, theoretically, you can have two stacks in each category although players are free to focus in specific units as they see fit. Over time, they may upgrade their force size to round out their division and expand into later Phases.
I managed to map out all the multiplayer maps: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1H9gcS54dETGjg01bS2WOwbU_2k4&usp=sharing OPERATION NEPTUNE Omaha Beach - June 6, 1944 2nd Infantry vs 352 Infanterie https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omaha_Beach 2nd Infantry vs 352 Infanterie Pointe du Hoc - June 6, 1944 Infantry vs. 352 Infanterie https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pointe_du_Hoc MISSION BOSTON https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mission_Boston Sainte-Mère-Église - June 6, 1944 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sainte-Mère-Église ??? vs 91. we tested it more this week. we pretty much have everything sorted out in terms of campaign logitical mechanics. i will update OP with new info. plan is to officially start June 9th or 10th. the campaign is built in a way to allow for varrying schedules. players may schedule missions according to their timeframe; drop in and out as they please.

Well, two hours in and the only thing I've learned so far is that I'm still terrible at these kinds of games.
Try playing with half the number of units on a smaller map (requires you to build a custom battlegroup for the enemy too). Less units = less micromanaging. If I remember correctly, we will only be starting with 16 unit points and then it goes up from there. And the smaller map makes it easier to focus your defensive line.
I'm sorely tempted to get this. Sometimes I hate you guys. But only .5% of the time. The other 99.5% I love you guys.
It has been brought to my attention that our gracious host Magnus may not be able to make it this coming Wednesday night. In the interest of keeping the campaign going, however, I am willing to temporarily take up the reins to get a mission going. I should be able to find most of the mission details (map, 1v1 map, destruction mode, 750 resources, etc.) from the myriad resources available here. So the main thing we would need is either: Magnus sends me(?) some guidelines to building OPFOR battlegroups which will then be prepared for the session, or Magnus exports pre-constructed battlegroups to me(?) and we use those Please provide any thoughts or concerns about this, either here or via discord. Note: I will insist that we do not go to Mont-Ormel for this mission (we have a handful of other options to pick)
