I've always kept an Army Ranger Handbook handy for studying. It drastically changed how I played ArmA back in the day, and I still read through it from time to time to keep knowledge fresh. Everything from setting up ambushes, avoiding ambushes, recon, movement, etc. can be used in the ArmA series just as effectively.

Key take away, if your not in charge, be quiet and offer input only when requested and only on what topic it has been requested on if you have direct personal knowledge of the subject.

 

I on the other hand will deliver you safely to your destination. Or a nearby desitation. Or an unrelated desination with a visual similarity. Bit of a coin toss, really.
