So what happened to the ministry of borg in TF2? I'm not in in anymore, wasn't sure if something happened to it cause i didn't quit it.
BoobyDrop2 is da shit. MixTape best mode. I'm SLOWLY getting better. Not much, but not as awful. I will never be a fucking robosniperrapemonster like some of these 12 year olds
You don't have to be a great shooter to rack up scores, which is nice. Attrition - Focus on killing the AI for the first quarter of the match, build up your score to get to your Titan quickly. Shoot at players only when needed or for easy kills. Once you get your Titan, if you can get it early, you can stomp other pilots and more AI quickly to rack up score before everyone drops their Titans and kills you. But from there everyone is going to be Titan focused so you can also go around killing AI for points. Shoot the robot thangs that drop at the end (the bigger ones), they're worth 5 pts each. Bounty - Again, focus on AI. ESPECIALLY the bounty titans that drop for some waves. The second you see a bounty titan drop (these are AI titans that are hostile to everyone) do everything you can to damage and kill it. Each damage gives you points, each kill gives you like $500, which is huuuuge and how most people get to the top of the leaderboard. Rodeo'ing is very effective since they don't gas you, but they are pretty good shots so don't discount their aim. They take a bit of firepower to kill as they have a lot of HP. But again, focus on killing AI. I do'nt play much pilot vs pilot, but yea there you have to be a good shot. In general as long as you move after each shot / kill and try not to stop still on top of high objects (where everyone can see you) you'll stay alive much longer.
in Bounty, getting those points early so you can drop your titan first, before anyone else, is key. Having a titan up on bounty targets before anyone else can is a huge force multiplier, and can give your team a commanding lead. Another thing to keep in mind is when to engage with a titan and when not to. I like to think of initiating a Titan fight in the same way I'd initiate a team fight in a MOBA. you want to make sure you've got people with you and that you either have cores up, or outnumber the enemy in terms of titans. Also make sure you pick the right Titan for the right map/engagement range/scenario.
all I can think of when I see a trailer like that is.. some epic voice guy zealously trying to sell me on this game while saying. "this game just doesn't have flashy explosions and effects but nonstop blood boiling action with a side of more explosive action. " I wonder if games in ten or twenty years will take a 180 and step back away from the sensory overload vomit effects and become much more simplistic in nature. but if its fun for some it just seems like it would give a headache
