    It's that time again! In an ongoing effort to put the COMMUNITY FIRST, we are doing a few things differently for this next meeting. If we like these changes, we will endeavor to continue this in the future!
    1) We are posting a poll so YOU can decide what we play AFTER the meeting!
    2) I am establishing a short list of games we like that we will return to at a later date.​
    The poll will close the day before the meeting so that everyone has enough time to download/install the correct game PRIOR to the meeting. Please make appropriate preparation beforehand! ;)

    News From The Wildlands (Game News)
    Games on the backburner to be returned to later:
    • Avorion 2.0 - probably the single most stable "space empire sim" out there right now.
    • Chivalry 2 - well polished and great multiplayer "sword & shield" arena combat game.
    • Company Heroes 3 - release date TBA
    • Divinity 2 - best D&D coop experience on PC?
    • Elite Dangerous - current best space combat sim?
    • Foxhole - isometric battlefield simulator
    • Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord - sword & shield empire sim
    • No Man's Sky - more arcade version of Star Citizen; fun with friends.
    • Space Engineers - huge updates to economy and combat. also, water biomes and NPC encounters confirmed!
    • Star Citizen - the 800 gorilla; waiting for a "finished game" is unrealistic. the server meshing update might be a game changer; TBD.
    • Valheim - our best and most popular "viking sim" game; recommend waiting for Mistlands update (or later)
    AFTER MEETING:
    • BattleTech RPG Q&A - we missed this last meeting due to me having no internet
    • TBD - SEE POLL! - please have the appropriate game installed and ready for the day of the meeting!

    • Solo has set up a Borg server
    Tuesday
    • Currently playing Deep Rock Galactic
      • With enough players we can do deep dives
    Wednesday
    • Considering floating warfare Wednesday
      • Vote for a rotating game each week
      • Check the forums for the poll
    Maintenance
    • Forum, Discord roster cleanup
      • Just removing people who left in bad standing
    Community Events
    • There will be a thread with more details posted Wednesday
    • Carrier Command being considered for next meeting
      • Starting early, will hold meeting in weekend

      • Playing on Tabletop Simulator
      • Planning on 2h sessions
      • Can do milestones instead of XP so folks can drop in as their schedule allows

    • Ark Server
      • Have established a beachhead
      • New players will have an easier time getting started
      • Modlist has been shrunk
    New Game Updates
    • Checking if Rimworld multiplayer works
    • Star Citizen
      • 3.18 will be out around end of quarter
      • Should fix AI and meshing
      • Player count increased to 120
      • Might be able to expect a first release of Squadron 42 this year or early next year

      • Can run rifts with parties
      • Stability and lag improved
      • Several mods integrated in the main game
    • Mount & Blade Bannerlord updated
    • Warframe in-game event soon
