back from honduras. mountain of paperwork to deal with. details to follow.

    ps. "funny" story:

so i knew honduras had a murder problem... i just didn't know how bad it really was until i got down there and saw for myself; 50% higher murder rate than the second highest, El Salvador. talked to some friends down there. everyone knew someone who had been murdered recently. a friend of our group was also murdered by some gang in the past year (details on it are limited). what the fuck. things are bad down there.

thanks guys. the trip was successful for sure; we are seeing a steady decrease of patients each year. this is a good thing... less patients means more people are healthy. however, there are still some really bad cases; starving kids, sanitation issues, etc. funding has been low this year of which a small portion of that can be blamed on myself. i'm not really forthcoming with what i do with my friends and family. that may soon have to change. if the 'borg can tolerate me for it, i may in the future ask for your guys help on this. I wouldn't bother you guys with it if I didn't think it was a worthy cause. every bit helps afterall.

for now, here is the website of the NGO i work for:

The thing I really like about this team is that I know all 100% of donations is going exactly where it should (unlike some more famous charity groups). We run a very tight ship and you would be surprised how much good you can do with even a very small budget.
