The 2012 one. I just finished the Phantom Blood arc, which is the most unabashedly anime thing I've ever seen, and I'm a few episodes into Battle Tendency. Really digging how it's got kind of a retro 80's aesthetic but with modern animation. And I love that Joseph's a complete Mary Sue and gets away with it since the whole show runs on over-the-top ridiculousness.
Attack on Titan is lame and you should feel lame for watching it. I couldn't stomach past the 2nd episode. Every geek I know says its so awesome and should watch it. More important things to watch this season. Like Berserk Danmachi Granblue Little witch academia Boku no hero academia Bahamut There's a few others but time will tell if they are worth watching
I don't really distinguish, good cartoons are good cartoons regardless of where they came from. Also DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Personally i think attack on titan is ok. Not SUPER FUCKING AMAZING WHY ARN'T YOU WATCHING IT NOOB good. I mean i haven't noticed anything in it that hasn't been done before. The cable thing they use to move around? Code geass had that to some extent pretty sure i've seen it even before that. Humanity being on the brink of extinction isn't that at least a quarter of the anime out there.
include anime where humanity isn't necessarily the most common species and you probably bump it up to 50%
