Since the other thread has turned into who hates what most. I thought I would start something focused on who is playing and what you are looking to play. Plus discussion about the game itself. I am also wondering if anyone is doing the VIP demo, ie Pre-ordered.
Definitely. Colossus. I got to have me big explosions. Alt will prob be an interceptor to stab things.
I am strongly considering Colussus. But if you are going colossus I will probably pick up Storm as my 2nd. Priming abilities with the Storm + Detonating AOE with Colossus
I think Ranger is gonna be the sleeper. Its ultimate is pretty fucking bad ass. Plus it's combo is bonus damage to a single target = Boss killer.
Oh, I guess I still have Origin Access which I bought to play through some back catalogue of RPGs like the Dragon Age series and a few other things... looks like Anthem is included so I'll try it out for free on PC.
Have not purchased the game yet. I thought the demo was fun. Reminded me of my youth (playing starsiege tribes). There nothing like bolting a jetpack to power armor. Will certainly consider ordering if the reviews are awesome.

Well, played 1 mission. Not bad. Performance was pretty shit though, got a lot of stutter even on lowest settings. Star Citizen runs better. Gameplay - Solid, I'd like it if you didn't overheat so quickly in the air and have to come back down, but there's obvious balance considerations, I bet there are items later to increase cooling and what not. Melee is a bit ponderous, the distance you have to be within to a target is a bit... inconsistent. Gunplay seems ok, I only tried the base guns which were nothing special but competent. Movement in 'town' needs to be faster Flight control with mouse is wonky, really bad in small spaces, ok in wide open. Graphics - Not bad, but again too much stutter. On normal, I get grouped with 3 other randoms. The 2nd mission had an end bad guy that was nigh impossible solo (I assume difficulty increases with people). Two guys went down quick, me and the other pot shotted it down since the other two died right next to him where it was impossible to rezz. Also lost sound halfway through.
I actually had the complete opposite experience with performance. It ran way better than I expected. I was getting 45-60 FPS on my GTX 970 + i5 4670k I agree movement in town is aggravating. One plus is that will be pretty much story only. The social hub will have access to everything except the story stuff. Agreed about Flight with the mouse, though I got used to it. After a little while it felt pretty good. We did that same mission and I think we went about it the wrong way and ended up lowering the difficulty to normal from hard. Overall, I really like it. Combat is very solid. Story seems like it could be really good. The loot game is strong. Customization is fucking amazing.
