    If you didn't watch the mechlab stream yesterday Magnus, the skirmish one does allow players to into battle under equipped so you could run "campaigns" that way. And I think damaged armor as well. Not sure bout missing limbs. But apparently the skirmish lab is much more free then the campaign. Campaign a mech has to be fully repaired to go into a mission. Skirmish it doesn't. And that is from in game no messing with files.

    Looking forward to trying out some of my MWO builds in Battletech. Can't help but wonder how they will do. I imagine they will all run a little hot based on some of the changes they've made but it should be interesting none the less.

    What about Steam workshop?
    No, there will not be a Steam workshop.

    Probably because they know players will put unseen in which could end getting steam in trouble as well if there was workshop.

    The only MWO builds that generally have a hard time are the boats; especially the large laser boats. There's just not a lot of advantages to only using one type of weapon because it's too easy for people to exploit any weakness you have (either long or short range). Probably the biggest exception would be the medium laser munchkins out there, but they are almost universally reviled and are almost always a primary target for players.

    To be fair, you have a little more wiggle room if you are fighting bots, though. They are less likely to exploit a weakness (such as pushing on a mech with only LRMs or PPCs).

    I think you just suffer a accuracy penalty in this game with those not a "you can't use them" penalty.

    It's the same in tabletop. You can use LRMs at point blank range... not that you really want to, though. The accuracy penalty is awful at that range.

    So I guess the version that's been streaming is a fairly old build. The next group of streams is supposedly a later build. I'm going to guess still not the final build though.

    Shit. How illegal is this thing? 9 srm6s, 1 lrm 15. I think an ac20 (the blue in the hunchie part is throwing me off) . Some autocannon below that. 10 lasers of various types. Plus the hatchet.

    It will definately be quicker. I wonder if it will add a new requirement for aniversery goodies. 100 quick play/faction and 100 S7 or if it will be rolled in the former heh.
