    I have seen a couple of yall go for the Shadow Hawk, and I want to ask why? Its fast for the age 5/8/3, and has good armor but it has an absolutely pathetic weapon loadout. Are yall taking it just because well its a Shadow Hawk and its later incarnations are rather nice or am I just missing something?

    The whole primitive stuff turned me off, personally. AC/5 and a Medium laser is pretty subpar on a 55 tonner (go for the Icarus II). Also, doesn't it only go 4/6/3?

    The SHD-1R is really a crappy mech. 4/6/3 with only a ML and AC5 for weaponry.

    The reason for the Shadow Hawk for me personally is that once I have it, it is the only mech I will ever need. Sure it starts off crappy, but I can just keep upgrading it through the course of the campaign. I'm still on the fence about it, though. It will take no small amount of effort to upgrade into something that can go toe to toe with the SLDF, but that is part of the fun! Also... as Orc said: Rule of Cool. :cool:

    I can see where yall are coming from and I wish yall luck. I personally just plan on stealing myself a royal mech after I bbq the pilot but I respect your commitment to your craft. :D

    Alright, new Skillsheet is complete and the example post has been updated to reflect the new changes. Same basic principles as before. What's different? Well, the prices have changed for the skill levels and the overall number of levels has been reduced along with the target roll numbers. This means that while there are fewer levels to gain and each level is a bit more expensive, each skill level gained also has a greater impact and greater chance of success. We also changed the free XP from 20 to 25 to help offset the cost increase at character creation. If you've already made a character you shouldn't have to change a whole lot, otherwise you can just follow the example to get started. You'll also get more XP per mission and more chances to earn XP as well.
