    Hey I take credit for my VTOL design. The massive amounts of rockets and infernos - Magnus, the ridiclous Machine guns - ME :p And even if you would uncharitably call it cherry picking I have 2 kills to thier 1 each :bananalama:

    Beta Lance, 3rd company on SaR for Bluetavius.

    Enemy Forces chasing Blue..

    4 Bulldog LRM Medium Tanks
    2 Manticore Heavy Tanks

    Results --

    Blue's tank was disabled but he ejected in time not to roast alive.

    2 Manticores -- destroyed
    2 Bulldogs -- destroyed
    2 Bulldogs -- withdrew from the field

    1 Harbringer crashed due to loss of rotor (lmao) but salvagable..

    and most likely....

    1 salvagable Manticore minus an engine

    and...

    Blue evidently got to the chopper after his tank bought it and made it out with us.

    The Ronin Assault Lance is no more.

    After a grueling battle, all that remains is their commander in the Battlemaster. Not only has Alpha Lance claimed victory over them without taking any losses of our own, but we have managed to secure their Hatamoto-Chi. The ronin Charger was also salvaged, but was handed over to Thule garrison forces with their expressed gratitude. We have been promised extra support should we encounter more losses. It is regrettable we were forced to destroy Ghiest's captured Catapult rather than let the enemy retreat with it, but we can still mark this battle as a clear victory for our forces.

    The tide is turning... Them ronin be fucked now. :bananalama:

    You aren't stunned that the VTOLs took on 3 times their weight (360 tons to 120) and took out 4 :viking: And we all know it was totally Val that did all the heavy lifting :)

    Nah, I know how crazy Ghost targets can get, and then times that by 4. :D

    Seriously though, yes, I am stunned, because those Manticores destroyed our lance.

    We're the red-headed stepchild that everyone beats and makes sleep in a pit in the basement.

    lol Yeah the Ghost Targets are nasty Trev did not appreciate them at all, but that match we had the Beta lance (didnt want to send the good VTOLS after Blue :) )which are all still 3025... no ECM

    Nothing beats tearing the snot out somebody while using B-grade equipment. Those are the moments we game for.

    We had help from two light aerospace fighters. Even then, it was not looking very good; i think they still had over a 1.5k BV advantage. And yes, initiative rolls played a huge part to it. We spent most of the first half of the fight playing cat and mouse, only attacking when we could isolate a single target (also did a LOT of rear armor attacks). However when the aerospace got two lucky hits in the same turn (destroyed the Charger's head and destroyed the Hatamoto's Engine) it was all downhill from there.

    Closer to 8 hours I think (3 and 5 hour sessions)... it took a long ass time, but totally worth it I think. Capturing that Hatamoto and Charger was HUGE.

    We've captured the enemy Centurion, that was captured from Fet. Destroyed Gyro, 2 engine hits, but otherwise in great shape.

    We've captured a disabled Catapult before the Ronin were able to steal it away (it's Barbies).

    The enemy Trebuchet is in rough shape, we've blown off it's right arm, and then torso. It's down to one LRM 15 and 1 medium laser.

    Enemy Shadow Hawk is down a right torso as well, taking out its LRM 5.

    Enemy Grand Dragon is hurting, lots of armor damage, lost a left arm, some internal, but nothing drastic. Missing a heat sink or two and a medium laser, I believe.

    They're hurt and on the run.

    I'm right there with you, left arm hanging on by 1 internal, RT (which has the REST of my weapons attached to it) by like 3-4.
