Procedural generation? Check Crafting driven economy? Check Full world destruction? Check Voxels? Check Player made buildings? Check Claiming territory? Check Changing seasons with weather? Check Guild vs Guild combat? Check Persistent world? Nope! Wait... what? That's right, the game world is not persistent. The game is designed around four simple words. Eternal Heroes, Dying Worlds. Characters are persistent, worlds are not. http://crowfall.com/#/ The game has already been fully funded on kickstarter with just under a month left to go. So no worries on if the game won't get funded. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/crowfall/crowfall-throne-war-pc-mmo Kingdom of Borf.
It actually looks pretty interesting if it wherent for that really really really boring looking combat. If they improve that, then theyve got one serious fine looking game.
A lot of the current FX, combat included, are placeholders while they work on hiring a dedicated FX Artist. You must have gotten one of the last $30 packages.
Ah, I see. The $30 packages ran out shortly after you commented, so I figured you snuck in there at the last second.
Hmmm, color me interested. I don't do Kickstarter though. I'll file this one away for future reference.
Looks really cool. I once worked on a game with almost exact same goals, too bad it died away. Not that we could've got it to work, these guys seem like they've got a good chance of coming through.
Yeah, I feel pretty confident about this game. It doesn't grab my attention as much as Revival does, but this game seems a lot more feasible in it's goals.
saw this on the underworld kickstarter page after backing that game as well. has a great concept, wonder how it will play out in the end. how many folks have thrown down for crowfall at this point? seems like a game better suited for groups given the GOT level of political intrigue they're trying to sell so i'm still waivering on the fence (still hundreds of $34 packages currently, no huge rush)
likewise I'm in, after regretting skipping the SC kickstarter (I had backed the repopulation right before theirs), I'm hesitant to skip any that look like they'll make a great end product. although repopulation certainly didn't turn out like I thought it would, lol. oh well, it was only $30!
