    • We're back on Azeroth, the setting I think most folks playing actually care about
    • New zones are remarkably reminiscent of Northrend. Legion did this as well and it was really nice having that throwback while still being decidedly its own thing.
    • New hero class and a new race akin to Worgen with dragonkin and human forms
    • New flying mount with actual gameplay mechanics--will be fun to see that used in a raid or at least a dungeon
    • Crafting is expanded, so if you're a clothie you don't need tailoring--you place a work order that a tailor can accept and get even a BoP item
    • Talent trees are back! Hybrid builds are back! And of course the dragon flights are back!
    • Wrath Classic is coming as widely anticipated, with DKs automatically unlocked for everyone even if you're totally new
    • Minor thing but the barber shop is in ahead of Cata
Notably absent from the cinematic is the black flight. That's pretty interesting considering Wratheon has over the last several expansions been established as an anti-villain.

I'm intrigued by the knew movement design, but I am not sure how intrigued at this point.

I'm of course planning to check it out at least. I'm going to be playing Wrath anyway and it seems like they're finally actually listening to player feedback on retail. They seriously dropped the ball with things that ought to have been a slam dunk--Azshara, N'zoth, Bolvar, Sylvanas--their stories recently seem like a shoehorned afterthought.

Yeah, after this being the general consensus leading up to BfA and then Shadowlands and them falling through on it, I can no longer place faith in Blizzard. BfA and Shadowlands were both supposed to be a return to WoW's origins and "they're finally listening to the players," etc. I know the player base wants this to be the expansion that Blizz finally manages to turn things around, but I just can't bring myself to place my eggs in the basket once again. The WoW Dev team has proven many times over now that they no longer understand what it was that made WoW special, and are not capable of finding a new way to make it special once more.

I'm pretty sure there is noone still related to Blizzard from the dev team that made WoW in the first place, so basically we got Disney picking at the corpse of a great IP.

It sounds like the worst of the lot have been forced out. Blizzard has evidently realized that we thought we wanted it, and super did. You shoulda seen Shattrath the other night. A'dal was beset on all sides by War Bears.
