So a new giant patch for Dwarf Fortress came out in August. I wouldn't normally have known this, since I didn't start playing Dwarf Fortress until the last week of August, but apparently it brought a ton of new and improved stuff to the game. Lucky me. It's tremendously fun. It's taken me eight forts and the use of Dwarf Therapist to get more or less in the swing of things. There's so much stuff to do, and failing to do any one of them seems to lead to the pretty horrible deaths of your dwarven charges. So far, my longest running fort is at 9 years, and it's (so far) not spiraled into death and madness. It's got some amazing mechanics going on under it's pixilated hood. Does anyone else play this game? If so, anyone want to get together and play through one fort and pass around the save file while keeping a log of the happenings of our fort? I've heard people have done that, and it seems to be fun. By the way, Dwarf Therapist is a must. I love reading up on all of my dwarves and getting to know them, but when there's 97 of them running around, it's damn near impossible to keep track of them all.
Did they finally get around to updating dwarf therapist? I was going to do a community play by play of the new DF (I got into the new build a little before the semester started) but college life hit me harder than usual. Including an early grade appeal wit hthe Dean in which I explained how their Animal Studies policy was bullshit. An argument I WON but still.
I don't know. This is my first time using anything Dwarf related, so if it has been updated I wouldn't notice. I do know that it's really helpful though, but if you've already used it, you know that already.
