I know I am super late to the party, we just got a switch for Christmas. Great game so far. But I cannot believe how much shit people give Ubisoft for putting towers in games. BotW does it and "Best game ever!" Thats all lol. No spoilers for the game please, I know it has been several years but still.
Right? I have gotten all the shrines. I never got around to beating ganondorf. I am in Hyrule castle though.
I got all the shrines and secrets before even entering the castle (except for the ones specifically in the castle) ^.^ Then I beat the game XD I like that you get a house you can show off your shit in, even if only the NPC's can really appreciate it other than yourself
I finally got around to fighting Canon (I accidentally triggered the final fight when going for the royal guards boots? Well some part of the royal guards outfit) but the final battle was really easy. It left me unsatisfied. But then I've noticed in the Zelda games the final battle tends to be easy.
Ganon >.> Also, yeah it tends to be easy. Unless you don't play it like a Zelda game and simply rush straight to the conclusion skipping all the bonus stuff. Or you try it hardcore (3 hearts only) which in my mind is utterly idiotic, like going into battle naked without any allies against the 300 and the Persian army simultaneously.
I think most of the just open world fights are harder than most of the boss fights. Spoiler: Except for... The lightning Ganon dude, that fight was tough. I went for him first so I had no special abilities yet.
To be fair, almost every Zelda boss from the beginning of time have been puzzle fights more than technical skill challenges. The objective was always to figure out what the best counter to the boss was, and abuse the bajeebus out of it until they died. Many of them would be utterly unbeatable without being able to perform their particular brand of cheese, so it was reasonable to assume that once you figured out their specific flavor the fight should be relatively simple.
Yeah I'm doing it on master mode now (all the weakest versions of monsters are gone. The lowest of the bokoblins is the blue now.) And I am cheesing the hell out of it. I went for the master sword and level 2 of the rubber armor set before I even fought the lightning ganon. level 2 rubber armor gives not just electrical damage resistance but you can't be shocked either. So you can't lose weapons. metal equipped during a storm with lightning? just throw the level 2 rubber armor on and not worry.
Apparently Breath of the Wild 2 is being made because there was too much DLC created for the first game. So instead of adding it to the first one they just went and decided to make a new game. Seems there is a rumor that Co-op might be available (with someone playing as Zelda.)
And it is supposed to go back to more traditional Zelda style dungeons. If there is a co-op my guess is zelda wouldn't do much fighting but more help with solving puzzles. Switches and such that link can't get to. Unless Zelda gets some fighting skills between games.
Zelda has historically had fighting skills, she may not be a solo character in this game, but maybe a support caster would be interesting.
but only twilight princess ever actually hinted at her having martial skills. The sword she had and the bow she fired. I don't think any of the other games really did anything. Though you assume as shiek she did in ocarina.
Wind Waker she takes the light bow and assists in the Ganon fight. Though technically she's not 'Zelda' she's the incarnation of Zelda so it counts.
