Hey guys, so I'm going to Nashville for work in a week and I'm going to have 2 nights with no plans. Any of you know the area and wanna offer up some suggestions? I'll have from 5:00 PM - midnight or 1:00 AM on Thursday and Friday. What to do? What to do? Also, I wont have good enough internet at the Hotel to game, I already checked.
I'm staying in the "Gaylord Opryland Resort." Who comes up with these names? http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/bnago-gaylord-opryland-resort-and-convention-center/
Well Opryland Hotel is pretty awesome by itself. You can always take a cab to Broadway and visit The District which has a TON of bars and live music venues. The Exit/In is a cool music hall as well depending on who's playing there. Dan McGuinness Irish Pub on Demonbreun is always hopping too. BTW, "Opryland" comes from "Grand Ol' Opry", which is a redneckism for "Grand Old Opera".
I have great friends in Nashville, I'll try to find out if any special events are going on next week as well.
Thanks, Business trips are always a drag. Anything to help it be more enjoyable. You have already given me some great suggestions that I'll make sure and map out. Maybe I'll have one night of bar hopping with all the live music (Work is paying for anything I choose to do so the mead should flow freely) and the second night find a show or something like that. Let me know what your friends say, It'd be much appreciated.
I would not envy him if he did; the wrath of his wife isn't something I'd care to tempt. And yes, she'd know.
I thank you, but this \/ Ha, you know its good when Don knows and respects "the wrath" of my wife. 'Tis true, however. She would know and woe would be me.
I would need a better explanation then, because I totally read it as a "That shirt looks good, but it would look better on my floor." kinda pickup line. This is a good point. That feature has GOT to be a turn on to the ladies. Who even needs pickup lines, all foreplay discussion aside?
Well Dihm... um.... Sorry? Things got a little uncomfortable for a second there, I glad I was able to save it with a lame ass apology.. Whew!
