I'm pretty sure that would end badly. You know, the local counter-espionage can be quite territorial and all and they might have a chronic shortage on humor.

Hysteria and fear spreads in UK as fairy doors appear on trees - situation out of control!

At its peak a year ago, more than 200 little doors had been screwed, nailed and installed on trees, according to Mr Acreman.

And with little tokens, fairy toys and notes secreted behind some of the doors, it has rapidly become known as "the fairy woods".

"We had a complete fairy fairground arrive, but we rejected that planning proposal."

With elfin construction now including "more and more garish" plywood doors with "lots of tinsel and glittery stuff", Mr Acreman said they have had to bring in "quality control" to remove the worst offenders.

"It's a very complex situation and nobody's admitting that they're evicting the fairies," he said.

"It's just that fairy control is required otherwise we'd be covered in fairy doors.

"We put a lot of time into the conservation of the woods. We're trying to keep people to the paths but the fairy doors are making it a free-for-all."

But trustee Steven Acreman said: "We've got little doors everywhere. We're not anti-fairies but it's in danger of getting out of control."

Holy shit, the situation is out of control, people are hoarding food and digging shelters in their backyards, I hear gas masks have all been sold out. People are afraid to go outside and military are not doing anything! Where is the government? Could Nato be called to defend UK from this netherly incursion?
    The horror.
All I can do is wish the britons God Speed, Hold Fast!

I really like UK. I hope they survive this fey crisis.

When I played CS 1.6 12 hours per day, I didn't do anything that great, but I did hit a jumping man in the head through a wall in Italy, also I hit another guy in the head through wall with Scout without scope just by guessing where he might be. Back then I also often had short streaks of superhuman achievements, just I couldn't stay in the 'zone', it was more of a good couple of hours when one is on fire and it couldn't be reproduced on demand. In CS:S I only used DEagle and so well that it was very common for me to win the whole map and to butcher whole fully armed enemy team alone. But that was not as much consistent skill as it was about playing insane hours and having good days every now and then.

It's a damn shame MWO just wasn't any fun. I tried to get into it but it always felt like you personally had almost no impact to the outcome of the match, winning wasn't especially satisfying as it was usually too one sided and winning was just too damn annoying, not least because you had to constantly think of grinding c-bills and loss was immediately associated with "ok, so I lost so it means I have 3 more matches to play for every loss before I get X". Over time it was just like working, stressful and turned down the whole experience.

Imho, losing is bad in itself, but to be punished with not being able to get a chance to get competitive gear for losing while not having any sense of impact to whether you win or lose.. Yea. That in itself makes a bad game if you believe that a good game experience is built upon a series of meaningful choices by the player. Having limited access to mechs, no choice of mech, limited weapons on mechs, no choice of weapons, bad balancing - even less choice of weapons or mechs, need to win, even less choice of mechs and weapons, etc. And no sense of coordination of weapons and mechs pre-match, pointless to take LRM's etc, even further narrows down feasible choices.

How about just designing a game from ground up so that there's plenty of meaningful choices to make? You know, like the Games of Golden Era.

So I was standing outside of the Religious ed building yesterday and I heard this and I can't really tell if he was joking or not but he made some other really anti climate change comments "This is what I hate about the left wing. Their facts are backed up with credible data and they are generally educated" For the record he was talking about climate change and why liberals think it is so real while he was trying to explain to freshmen his thoughts.

Because they're like a fine steak, best eaten unaltered.

Thanks for the show of concern everyone! I'm fine, I threw my back out shoveling snow and the pain killer I've been taking to cope makes me... Slightly insane feeling? :glee:
