    so starship troopers was (1st one) and i noticed something that was a bit to ridiculous even for it. You know when the rodger young is shot down above planet P. in one of the inside scenes of people getting thrown about it shows a bunch of people sitting at a table eating/playing cards/stuff that isn't duty/watch related. But they (the fleet) are supporting a ground operation and being shot at by the plasma bugs yet they don't appear to be at battle stations/general quarters whatever they want to call it. the mobile infantry seems far more professional than the fleet.

    yes i know it's not a serious movie in the first place but that was a bit to much.

    Seems it is getting a little crazy down in Georgia. Some politicians are trying to shit all over the 2nd Amendment.

    basically all semiauto rifles would be considered contraband and would either; A be destroyed or made useless by the owner, or B handed over to the authorities.

    naturally full auto and burst selective fire are also considered contraband, this also extends to high cap magazines which is anything more then 10 rounds.

    The first half made me laugh about how much overkill that would be against someone without any air defense. The second half of this video just made me laugh about how much that wouldn't work. Does RT actually believe this stuff?

    The first half for a modular/containerized bomber has been worked on for decades using different delivery vehicles. At one point we were close to going with a prototype 747 equipped to launch AGM-86 missles, with a large stand off range and 4 times the capacity of a B-52, all the while with lower operating costs. Now that the newer 747-800's are in production the capacity would be even higher. Basically the issue would become how many cruise missles do we have in invantory to launch in mass numbers. A rework to also carry modern guided free fall weapons would further expand its role, there was talk of even having limited command and control facilities on board in the extra space the aircraft has. With effective air superiority it would be a frighteningly effective and efficient platform.

    The second half I totally agree with you having way too many ways to go wrong.

    Yeah, when I was in the military we would talk about that program from time to time. Mostly we would talk about what a nightmare they would be to load. By the rules, you're only allowed to have one weapons team working on an aircraft at a time, so when you're loading an aircraft with the entire inventory of GBUs or cruise missiles you'll be there all week. But then we decided it's like the GBU-39, so that's Ammo's problem to load in the boxes. We'll just drive the boxes up to the load master and let them sort it out on the plane. :glee:

    Then we started wondering how many GBU-39s a plane like that could carry instead. :psychotic:
