problem solved. get a hug from the hot barrista making your XL coffee and put vodka in your coffee. also who needs sleep.
so the northeast is supposed to finally get into the 90s this week. meanwhile us southerners are like "meh. we've been dealing with those temps for a few weeks now".
A cure for bronchitis, phthisis, whooping cough etc., suitable for children as well. Great non-addictive alternate for morphine! I can imagine going to doctors now with my cough and being prescribed 500ml of heroin.
Was just watching a children's program made in the capital region. They "saw a viper" in it and reminded that people leave the vipers be as they have the status of a 'protected animal'. Where I live the standard practice as soon as spring is far enough is to go out with a shotgun and get as many of them as you can. I guess the people in capital have different priorities than us rural hillbillies. I just thought that was funny as hell (no need to pursue politically or so please, just an observation)
there are snakes that far north? huh. that is interesting. I thought the short warm period wouldn't be long enough for them to stay. there is a man made lake in the mountains of north carolina where there is a town at the bottom. but that's not the point. when they filled this lake all of the snakes went to the highest point (which became an island a pretty small one a quarter of a square kilometer maybe?) but there were thousands of snakes on this island. The people/company who made the lake offered $500 ( a good amount of money in those times) to remove the snakes from this island and no one succeeded so eventually a pig farmer brought his pigs to the island and the pigs killed all the snakes. http://www.wral.com/news/local/video/12431031/ also a few movies have been filmed at lake lure (the lake I mentioned). The Lake Lure area has been used several times as a filming location, beginning with Thunder Road (1968). Other movies that include scenes filmed in or near Lake Lure are: A Breed Apart (1984), Firestarter (1984), Dirty Dancing (1987), and My Fellow Americans (1996). Scenes in the film The Last of the Mohicans (1992), including the final 17 minutes, were filmed at nearby Chimney Rock and Hickory Nut Gorge.
