Path of Exile Open Beta Starts January 23rd

I got into the closed beta about 7(?) months ago, it is a fun game but for some reason Axe and I stopped playing it. I was really fond of the talent tree which was similar to FFX.

If anyone is interested in giving the game another shot I would be up for it.

Just put in 15 bucks to get closed beta now.

Hopefully this will be the Diablo II sequel I was looking for.

 

Is it worth it? I've been looking into it, but I haven't heard too much about its quality

 

It is very similar to Diablo-styled games. But it has an intriguing magic system which allows you to combine different orbs to produce various spells. I can't really remember much from when I played but it is a fun game with much diversity.

 

So far I like it. Made it to level 6 before calling it a night. It starts off slow but you gradually get the hang of it. Only thing I didn't much like is that you can get positively mobbed with enemies.

I don't think it's a waste of 15 dollars yet, and I'm glad to support the game after reading about it and poking through their forums. They seem to have a well thought out plan, competitive and hardcore leagues thought out, and an interesting skill system.

I have been playing for months now and LOVE it! It is what D3 should have been and is deep enough to keep me coming back.

 

I'm probably going to play with my high school friends that I played Diablo and Diablo II with. It will be interesting to see if we can re-create our classic builds in PoE... Then again I didn't see a Necromancer type anything so I doubt my friend can troll me with an army of skeletons crashing my framerate this time.

 

Totally worth it. Leveling alts is actually fun experience rather than "god why it is taking so long", endgame is brilliant (maps being actual items which have their own stats/mods which you can alter with orbs), item variety is huge with many ways to alter properties with various orbs and game is really polished overall. I will play it for sure once open beta hits.

You can make summoner witch or templar just fine, there's plenty of minion passives around them. I had summoner witch in cb with 8 zombies, 12 skeletons and 2 spectres and that's not even max that you can have.

 

Oh jesus. That's gonna be fun. MORE zombies to steal my kills. This is gonna be just like D2.

Anyone have any extra closed beta keys? Or I can just wait 5 days
