I see that we had our bi-annual "Bronies are child molestors" derailment. I thought we gave Damon this thread back in the day as a compromise: he could post all the pony content he wanted in this singular thread, leaving the remainder of the forums largely unscathed from brony derailment, and, in return, wouldn't have to deal with being antagonized for a harmless interest. I suppose the masses need to be reeducated.
I have made the "sin" of posting ponies in other threads... Any time I do.. I think about it for a long time, consider the content and context, then decide it's ok. I am always waiting to see if there is backlash to my posts, and I'm prepared to edit/remove them if necessary. Luckily, I shrug off most of the negative posts here as the uninitiated venting, before assimilation. But, I'm not the only person viewing this thread, I can see people taking offense on either side. I will stop posting ponies in other threads.
If/when you do, I don't see that antagonism happening in those threads. Instead, I see it in the the one thread, on our entiiiiiiiiiiire forums, specifically dedicated to this one topic. Personally, I peruse this thread occasionally because my brother is a huge brony, and it gives me cool pictures and stories that I can send him. I have little interest in the whole brony-culture myself. That being said, I can't say I give much of a damn whether you do or don't. I do, however, believe that if our Brony Borgians are willing to not spam and derail every thread with that one type of content, it isn't too much to ask for those who may not share that enthusiasm to show the same respect in the one place dedicated to it.
Your stuff usually isn't all that bad, acutally. And you do it with a sense of fun, so no harm done. Let's just get back to posting acutal pony-related stuff and call it a day. No more needs to be said.
