If none of these fits your liking you can always make your own. I have some hill billy moonshine that is mighty tasty.
I am a big fan of Fighting Cock Bourbon. It's 103 proof and won't break the bank (~$18 for a 750mL bottle). And in the ever famous words of Dave Chapelle as Sam Jackson: "It'll get ya drunk!"
Rums: Kraken, Captain Morgan 100, Sailor Jerry, Pussers for that old school mood Vodka: cheapest shit in a huge plastic bottle (vodka is like water) Scotch: Bowmore Darkest is my go to for delicious and affordable. Fuck your blends. Single malt or death Brandy: um, I can never remember the name of what I use in my old fashioneds
my fav is Seagram's 7 Dark Honey, usually as a sipping whiskey on the rocks, sweet like mead and 71 proof has got a bit more kick than the average mead too. Vodka I prefer Grey Goose, Vodka is -supposed- to be almost flavorless, and the cheap shit doesn't quite live up to the name (though after a few of whatever your fancy you won't really care, it's only the first few drinks that matter XD)
Of course I like it, I make it I hate the disgusting booze that adds "honey" after the fact, that is the new trend. Gross.
*shrug* I haven't tried all of them, but I like Seagram's dark honey, I tried a couple other ones but they weren't nearly as good, so I stick with the Seagram's and call myself blessed for having found a good liquor I like that doesn't cost nearly as much as the other ones I like
Ain't hard alchyhol, but I can't help recommending this delicious double IPA, which just came in on tap around here: Reviews: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/13014/46849/
Scothcy scotch scotch scotch. Ron burgundy scotch, seriously it's good. I bought it for teh lawlz but it surprised me. drink it and rejoice. Also Bakon vodka, got it for the old birthing day celebrations and it was odd, but somehow the fake bacon flavour is good. Burns like vodka but tastes good before that.
I recommend Dewars Whiskey. A good 12 or 18 year / double aged whiskey really hits the spot. Its amazing smooth and goes down well. Its my favorite scotch and the only drink iv ever enjoyed so much. 12 Is your cheaper bottle but if you have the cash get a more aged one. http://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/P-13030.aspx This is the bottle so you never mix it up. The other are in there aswell.
Ignore these naysayers. Monopolowa is probably the best mid- to low-shelf potato-based vodka I've found. A good drinking vodka. Not so much for mixing. (Try to find a tasteless grain vodka for that.) Jefferson Reserve, Buffalo Trace (certain labels) and Evan Williams Single Barrel for bourbons. (Evan Williams green label if you're on an extreme budget.)
