Been looking forward to this game. However, until these issues are fixed DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. Most people, including me, cannot even get the game to launch. Those that do are apparently having massive performance issues. If they can get the startup issue sorted out, it is probably a really good game and I will probably edit this out once they get it fixed. But for now DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS THE LAUNCHER IS FIXED
This appears to be an issue entirely around Ryzen chipsets. I was able to fix the issue by updating to the Beta BIOS on a Tomahawk B450. I assume at some point Rockstar will get their head out of their ass and fix the issues without having to make people update their BIOS, MSI just basically got ahead of them.
My gameplay is running smoothly at this point but I'm using an nvidia card. There's been a few launcher and client updates. Let me know when you have things running smoothly gihzmo, we'll play some online together.
In terms of single player experience, I still haven't finished The Witcher 3; still want to do that before I jump into RDR2. And there's also Cyberpunk to consider. I'm interested in RDR2's multiplayer, but I'd like to wait until after they've gotten the wrinkles ironed out a bit. I heard it had some issues, but is that still the case? This game will only get better over time and so I see no reason to rush into it. To wit, how is multiplayer btw? I heard it was kind of limiting, but I don't know how. Is there campaign coop or is it just an open world MP thing like GTA5?... hopefully with less trolling, though.
I have a coworker who have tried to convince me to pick this up. He plays on console but he describes it as GTA V but in the wild west.
