Way... To in depth that's a crazy amount of memorization to just properly start the ship up... Way to much work for me.
I agree, unfortunately. Although something like that could be fine, I'd never get past even learning to start the ship! Much less be able to use it in combat or so. Idea- what if there be like a button "deploy radiators" and "0, 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, full" etc? I kinda dread the concept of Gundam Seed where the first thing you have to do in cockpit is to rebuild the whole operating system because it plain doesn't work as it is. And you have to be able to modify the operating system while under fire. And then win. Though nothing wrong with the concept. I'm still waiting for a game that only focuses on getting passed through air force pilot tests or astronaut selection and training.
from past Dev blogs... you are not actually required to go through the whole setup... he has(is) building in an (semi)automated startup/shutdown for those who dont particularly like that. that way those people can still enjoy the game without the need for a 3-4 minute startup.
Early access purchase has started... http://imagespaceinc.com/rogsys/p/buyeaccess/ $10.00 USD gives access to the CM(core module) for testing without the need to buy the full game. also different packages upeo the $300.00 USD mark. for me the $60.00 or maybe the $150.00 packages looks like the route i may go into. EDIT: here is their main site for now... http://imagespaceinc.com/rogsys/
