It's totally her. I mean, some feminist was talking smack about her being thin on the internet, and she found them and Force choked the shit out of them. She's watching us all. Remember the good old days of the internet when you could trashtalk famous people without there every being a chance they would know?
Your use of the word pleb has me triggered now and I now putting in a request to make this safe space for the less fortunate.
Erik Bauersfeld who was the voice of admiral ackbar passed away sunday. he wasn't the one in costume on set.
so abrams said at some event that rey's parents are not in episode 7. clearly she wouldn't be han and leia's anyways (how boring would it be if she and stylo ren were brother and sister). but that doesn't debunk the theory that she is luke's clone. because if she was never raised by him he is not really her father. the other main theory i guess is that she is obi-wan's granddaughter. i like both about equally.
Gods, I hope she's just a random fucker from the backwards ass-end of the galaxy. If she turns out to be some sort of descendant of a long line of Jedi Knights I'm going to be done.
JJ: <waves hand> "This is not the story arc you are looking for." BtR : "This is not the story arc I am looking for......I'll just queue over here for Rogue One."
So she's the daughter of a brother and sister who are born from two Jedi that hide during the start of order 66. Quadruple Jedi ancestry power infusion Sounds good to me.
Yea there is no way she's a clone. Way too complex for a Disney owned property. I also doubt Obi-Wan, because why? If Star Wars is the story about the skywalker family, obi-wan is not a central character, therefore Rey isn't either. Its either a skywalker or its a nobody, don't think its a big side character. Unless its Chewie.
actually i'm starting to think she is the new "chosen one". not exactly a reincarnation of anakin but there is always a chosen one. of course the only thing i have to go off of is that she can understand astromechs. Most people can not. in the new canon the only person we know who could without a translation screen is anakin. she's a reincarnation only in that she is taking over his role but not necessarily related to anakin by blood.
And this is why Han was so upset with Chewie during the press tour leading up to the force awakens release, Rey is the love child of Leia and Chewie!
There's a number of people who're able to understand R2 in the current canon, it's unclear as to whether Poe can understand BB-8 or not, their interaction doesn't make it clear.
Just a random thought: Starkiller Base was in many ways equivalent of Manhattan Project - It was insanely expensive - First Order could afford it without having to scale back their other stuff - It decimated their enemies, knocking out their worst adversary entirely out along with their fleets - Pretty much one time affair With the difference that without it being taken out it would have remained a terrifying weapon that could have not only destroyed countless more worlds but also extinguished several stars while at it. Sometimes super weapons offer decent bang for the buck, if ever so then in the case of Manhattan Project and Starkiller Base. Now I want my own ships to be able to fire their beams into warp!
I'm curious. What do they do (well what they planned to do) when the star is depleted? do they abandon the planet/base or can they somehow move it to another system? because centerpoint station doesn't exist anymore since legends isn't even pseudo canon anymore. For those who don't know Centerpoint Station is a station that is even larger than the first death star and pretty much older than the republic (old republic) so even older than the old republic game. basically it predates space flight in the star wars universe. It was designed to pull planets through hyperspace (also could send waves of destruction through hyperspace and blow up stars, fleets, probably planets, just about anything). was used to create the corellian system.
Starkiller Base is mobile. It was designed to be able to move between star systems. Could be. Imagine how many resources they could use by just building it to last only one shot. It would be funny if the Resistance were attacking it and found the defenses too strong and commenced a tactical withdrawal and then the whole base blows up with no one taking any shots at it. "Wat?" So they were planning all along for it to just blow up, they knew it couldn't take the strain because it was built so poorly and of the cheapest recycled garbage available. The true ingenious of their engineers and designers laid in being able to time the destruction to take place during the Resistance attack. It's all a big dark twisted plot, the kind of plot that the followers of Dark Side would devise. They are indoctrinating their enemies into thinking that their super weapons always have a weakness against small craft so their enemies start relying on small craft. Then one day they build one that is completely impervious against small craft and their enemies are fucked. It's also clever plan because by doing it this way instead of just making it properly on the first try they can get a lot more people killed in the process, which is a bonus for them. ------------------ Legends and Expanded Universe are not immediately completely discredited. While something is not considered official canon it can have still existed and taken place. Besides no one is going to stop you from liking EU, Legends or anything else or having your own opinion about the canon. Fuck Disney. You want Sidious clones you've got them. Who's going to take them away from you? Is Mickey Mouse going to kick your door down with Goofey and set fire to your home?
