No where else to put this....

Making a seperate post regarding abilities in general:

Here's the real problem I see with the new abilities: its the same song, but a different verse. In other words, these abilities are still limiting player tactical options only they are doing it differently than the old abilities.

    I will break it down:

    OLD GUNNERY

    Multi-targeting:
If you prefer using lighter mechs, you could argue that Multitargeting + Sensor Link are your two most HATED abilities because they remove the single real advantage light mechs have, their evasion. True, lightmechs get to move first if they want, but that is only helpful 50% of the time. Sometimes you WANT to move after your opponent. I would argue that old Multitargeting is actually more powerful than old Breaching Shot. Why? Because breaching Shot only works with single fired weapons and *most* mechs are not built around a single powerful weapon. Breaching SHot is really not that powerful unless you ALSO have multitargeting. Now with both, you can fire 3 LRM 20s at three different targets and just wreck people for days.

    Breaching Shot:
Again, decent skill, but only gets really powerful if you also have Multishot.

    OLD PILOTING

    Evasive Maneuvering

Aaaand that's as far as I got because some fucking hack moderator just banned me from the discussion.

Maybe I will bother to finish this at some point. Maybe not. If I do and they don't reinstate my privileges, maybe one of you wouldn't mind posting it for me? Not that it will fucking matter.. probably.

Yeah. They didn't even bother to explain their actions until I made a stink about it. And then soft banned me for my trouble.

Moderators in Paradox house play it real fast and loose.

Best/worse part is that I'm not even restricted from posting in the thread I mouthed off to the moderators in. But I *am* banned from posting in the original Dev Diary thread where I was a perfect gentlemen before they removed all my posts... again without warning or explaination.

I point-blank asked a mod why this was the case; I asked why was I not banned from posting in the "derailed" thread where I *actually* violated the CoC? They basically said I just couldn't be trusted to not spam in the Dev Diary thread....but apparently they trusted me enough to not spam everywhere else.

That's some fucking second string moderator logic right there.

I decided to go over the moderator's heads for someone further up the food chain and so submitted a support ticket to the main Paradox website.

    Here was my response:

"Moderator abuse"... lol.. that always gets people attention.

I don't generally like to cause trouble for people just trying to do their jobs, but I felt a certain amount of righteous indignation for this specific case.
