Never thought I'd see this. Fascinating details on the development for this game. I though Relic was good as dead, but that is not the case. After the failures of Dawn of War 3, Relic is going back to basics and really listening to community feedback for this title. Even if you don't like RTS games, this one might just soften your position on them; the game will feature a "tactical pause" button to allow you to pause combat anytime to issue orders. No longer do you have to worry about getting overwhelmed with the micromanagement. The game will also feature an overworld strategy element (similar to the Total War series); this is a first for the franchise. There is a lot of really great news with this title. A very positive story compared to most video game development. Highly recommend keeping an eye on this one! The Youtuber's one concern is that Relic spoiled the surprise by releasing the Alpha (essentially a demo) for players to test and give feedback. While I agree it does spoil some of the "surprise", in this case and given the lingering fears from DoW3's disastrous release, I absolutley think Relic did the right thing here. By making their intentions known now on the direction of the development, they have successfully recaptured much of the community's attention and have made it clear they are committed to making a better game this time around. I know its early, but this could quite possibly become the best RTS game we've seen yet. Time will tell.
They are still working on it, but there are some welcomed improvements that were definitely inspired by the player community. That's a good sign to me.
