Ok, so a few of you already know the jist of what's been going on with me the past few weeks. To everyone else... A couple weeks ago, I was in the hospital for what felt like a heart attack. Turns out it was a bad heart arythmia but the doctors also found that I have Left Bundle Branch Block, which is an interruption or blockage of the electrical signal from my brain responsible for heart beat to my left ventricle. Currently the doctors don't know what's causing it so in two weeks I go for testing and to be fitted for a temporary heart monitor I'll have to wear for a full day. The kicker to all this is my mother has been having episodes similar to mine, except the last couple of times, she had I have cpr done to resuscitate her. She had a monitor called a loop recorder implanted in her chest as month or two ago. Two days ago she saw the cardiologist again. They found that a wall in her heart is thickening and quickly. They don't know why, but they suspect it's a genetic issue, so she's going to have a genetics test done soon. You can see why I'm now gettin a bit flustered. I felt that everyone should know, in case I wind up disappearing or prolonged periods of time.
Well, on the bright side, no heart attack = no hypoxia to the cardiac tissue, right? Hope they can figure out what's causing it soon, though.
Thanks all. I'll post updates when I get them. I dunno about hypoxia, was never mentioned. It'll get figured out soon enough. God damn heart fucking with my jimmies!
I hope you have nothing that would interfere with the quality of your life or anything else for that matter.
Thanks sheep, but we're a little past that point already. Im just hoping its something that's treatable... with marijuana.
Let's just hope they don't issue you a dog and say "petting this dog makes your heart rate calm down". Then the dog rips apart your sofa and shits all over the place. Also you don't need to take marijuana out for a walk. Not that dogs aren't cool and super sweet... What the fuck am I on about? Forgot. In any case I just hope you can maintain most of your favorite activities. Used to know some people who basically only knew things like spending time outdoors and when they couldn't it was not nice. <- downplaying that statement a bit maybe? In any case, best of luck!
