This game ? The Borg ? Cant think of anything more suited to us then this. http://tomclancy-thedivision.ubi.com/game/en-GB/media/videos/
what I've seen so far seems cool, but I don't know if I've seen anything yet thats actually representative of gameplay and not scripted. I'll definitely be watching it though.
so... looks really cool, it's Tom Clancy, so I'm guessing some form of shooter game, apparently after some major disaster (no I haven't read the books, I'm not a big fan of the genre, nothing against Tom Clancy specifically)
Its more like DayZ minus the zombies but with quests and lots better graphics. supposed to be persistent in game world where the quests you take determines what things you may or may not get in the world
Looks like a Gears of War shoot and scoot cover shooter... which is (imo) AWESOME! I loved how they added that partially to New Vegas, but it looks fully realized here.
funny enough its more like an MMORPG than a 3rd person shooter... there is also crafting in the game which seems to never be mentioned also you setup your character in different specs such as DPS/ Heal/ Tank. this guy on youtube has a series of episodes he posted up speaking of all things related to The Division. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZ-ACKH3duHRLc8hSaltJ2O7L0KGvg62H
so do you guys think this is game has a strong possibility of becoming a main game for Borg alongside Star Citizen and MWO?
I don't think so, actually. There will be people that play it, for sure, but not everyone will be playing it, I think.
well something zombie like because it mentions a man made virus so infected at least. though it sounds like they wouldn't be common if there are (of course the virus could be something more along the lines of ebola or some really aggressive flu type deal and nothing to do with super soldier gone wrong deal like most games that would have a man made virus)
looks interesting. I might look into getting it. I've never played a bad tom clancy game (some mediocre ones) but never a bad one. And Damion other than the games being in the universe (using the units, gear/tactics of that group) the games usually are not based off the books at all. and website
I intend to play the ever-living fuck out of this game. If it ends up meeting expectations, I see no reason we couldn't have a possible game branch out of this. If not, it'll probably be equivalent to an Arma 3 for us.
thats my thinking is that for us it would be equivalent to arma 3. i plan on getting it (probably not pre ordering) and playing it alot. i would think it has a scaling difficulty built in. dependent on group size. like if you are alone for whatever reason you would (for the most part) run into stuff you can handle on your own. and it gets more difficult as group size increases.
wait am I reading that right that we could become a cartel instead of doing what division agents are tasked to do? like how in some of the later splinter cell games you could choose what you did. like instead of preventing the collapse of society we can aid in it's collapse.
