wow... I actually like that song that way, the original just annoys me. they're very talented and... strange, I listened to a couple of their other songs... strange, some of them are good others just... strange............ yeah...
BTW, for those intersted: This song was nearly impossible to find a decent recording of (all the youtube versions are low quality shit). I managed to find a legitimate copy from the artist (their stuff is sort of hidden). If anyone wants it, let me know (or go buy a copy if you really like them). That was cool to watch Iron Fang. They look almost animated.
Riot Games' fictional band Pentakill "released" a new album named Grasp of the Undying. It's pretty sad how a fictional metal band is actually better metal than most modern mainstream metal....
Thats because there are so many different genres of metal and most of them seem to be crap. only good metal is melodic speed metal, all else is trash...
Randomly browsing through soundtracks and was reminded how good KlK's was. The series had three very strong pillars it stood on: Setting, characters and soundtrack. Storytelling and animation were uneven, but I still think it's great series. Might actually need to rewatch it at some point...
This is just my opinion, but I think it's because Metal is at its best when it is not taken seriously as a "way of life", but rather as a form of satire. What I mean is that its fun to be over the top, dress like extras from a mad max movie, and write outrageous lyrics to antagonize "the old and the meek", but you don't get to the point where you take it to literal extremes. I see Metal at its best when it's taking the piss out of "thought police" troglodytes that want to control how you think and what you like. You see this with Punk too. These are musical forms that exist to reject the status quo. Some people want to say Metal isn't artistic and creative, but my chrome-plated codpiece begs to differ.
