There was something 'maybe'? I didn't see like a single thing that was even remotely interesting. Except maybe for the sole exception that is Shingeki no Kyojin movie but that's only if it's like new material and not just cut together from the series with mainly extra new bla bla & boohoo scenes. Though I have to hand it to anime industry, decades of dedicated work towards perfecting the most erotic imaginable female characters has not been entirely in vain. Now I'd like to insert that thing from Last Samurai about japanese always trying to master whatever they do, trying to perfect it. Even if it's some mindless harem porn anime, they will work hard and work overtime to make those tits bounce the right way. Still, I would not watch them. I want some cool scifi and mecha action. And if at all possible, please, don't give a ton of emotional problems for the main character. Don't always make him have glasses and be incredibly awkward with women while his 'supervisor/tutor' is some Lt Sideboob who makes the MC blush every time he's not crying over some mental instability issue while his squadron are being slaughtered. Gundam 08th MS Team is a good place to start. Make more like that. Every MC does not need to be a fricking godly power fantasy figure. "Oh, before I started crying today I destroyed the entire enemy army. On my own. Now I'm going to cry because I have issues."
So the shows worth watching this season so far are. Charlotte. Shimoneta, Monster Musume, gangsta, working!!!, non non biyori, and Dollars. Charlotte was a bit odd but ill be giving it a few more episodes, the people that have super powers though have random quirks about them that don't really make them a actual super power. Like being able to turn invisible but only to one person. Shimoneta, this show is rather crazy, main characters go around using sexual images, words, movies to "enlighten" the masses to there ignorance of sexuality because all knowledge is kept secret. all porn of any kind is banned material, and even speaking words dick, ass, vagina is a violation which is tracked through a neck collar device. Monster Musume is a harem but with what seems like half human half animal chicks which is different from your typical harem. even the plot device to keep the guy from having sex is different as it is illegal for him to sleep with them even though he wants to. Instead of usual beta male that runs and hides from even the thought of seeing a pussy. Gangsta, action anime with two guys going around kicking peoples asses in for money, or what ever floats there boat in that point in time. contains lots of adult situations, not anything you would have your children watch. Working!!! and Dollars and well... you should know what they both are by now if you watch anime. Non Non Biyori repeat. seems just like that at the moment. a repeat of the first season but from different perspectives of the characters. Only first episode so far so maybe a continuation but so far it doesn't seem like it is.
I've read quite a bit of the Monster Musume manga. It is a harem series, but it really is freaking hilarious.
The ones im looking most forward to is Overlord and Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri. I have watched ep.1 and 2 for both series so far. I really like them so far.
Sidonia no Kishi is one of my favorite series ever among any category. Season 2 feels even more amazing than S1 and it's all on Netflix. -The scifi is hard! There's actually nothing in it that defies any physics, not that I've been able to observe and I tend to be pretty anal about that stuff! -Oh my god, those Garde-mechas! Piloted by dual joysticks, flown like a true space fighter mech that has a particle cannon and a spear. Awesome! -The aliens feel fresh and are really cool and menacing. -There's not too much of bullshit filler besides the actual storytelling, the few scenes that work to deepen the characters also often feature sights and locations from the seed ship Sidonia which in itself would be worth a show of it's own. -Doesn't have all those disgusting and moronic conceptual failures that NGE or BSG had. (aliens being literally angels or sentient robots that have an unhealthy obsession to preach about god in every possible scene they appear in..) In short, this is a true gem and I don't know about others but I'm gonna hold on to this for decades to come and I don't expect it to be seriously challenged in a long time.
The "official" story is that GT takes place in an alternate timeline. Super takes place in the now original timeline.
as it should be. I wonder if there will still be super saiyen 4 or if super saiyen god is taking 4's place. that's what it seems like is happening. im guessing that in the original timeline there will be no level 4.
he might even get one. it seems like once an adult loses their tail it's gone for good. but then the only one we've ever seen 'regrow' the tail is gohan. goten and trunks were never shown with a tail so i'm guessing theirs was pulled pretty much at birth. for the most part though it seems to be going the direction of once a saiyen loses their tail it's gone.
haven't watched any of the new series as its just a rehash of the movie. still waiting to get past what the movie showed.
