BATTLETECH Keys Are On Their Way!

About 1.5 hours. Not that I'll be home till like 6 tonight.

 

I love Warframe!

 

So the guy for the rockpapershotgun review says it is boring and slow. But that's turn based strategy in general. Because even xcom is slow (and sometimes boring just because not in the mood to play at that pace). Though honestly I think xcom is slower then battletech would be. Sounds more like that guy turn based games just arn't his thing.

Also It's clear the author of that article never played tabletop or even mechcommander. He says he played megamek but I don't buy that with some of his comments.

 

Apparently his is the ONLY negative review. All the others are positive.

Also in the comments some dweeb is "I'm waiting for MW 5. That's the battletech I want". I was tempted to make an account just to say that is mechwarrior not battletech. 1 refers to the universe and turn based games. The other (mechwarrior) refers only to the pilots and FPS games and takes place in the universe. Then there is mechcommander which refers to someone commanding the mechs not piloting them and RTS games and also takes place in the battletech universe. But neither mechwarrior or commander are battletech.

And people are having issues connecting or creating paradox account In the game so they Can't get the atlas or shadowhawk skin.

 

*chuckles* well at least it is just decoration? I'm mostly curious to see if they changed salvaged mechs to be empty of equipment. Once someone pointed out 3 pieces and you get all the weapons and gear as well I was a little bummed if I'm honest.

 

I'm still not certain if that was a bug and you actually did free stuff or if your techs installed the stock equipment but it came from your inventory. I never saw an answer either way. But to me it makes stock equipment would get installed if you have it.

I didn' really watch the streams but I don't think any of them went into the inventory so how would people know if the stuff showing up on a mech is being taken from inventory or not?

 

So in the character creation where you choose pronoun the options are him, her, they. And people are flipping out over 'they' even asking for a refund. Might be other gender neutral pronouns. What a stupid thing to flip out over.

 

They can call me a what for all I care, still can't wait for work to be done. 5pm feels so far away right now! tossed on Cohh's youtube channel while I slug through the day in wait.

Ouch. At the moment it is mixed reviews on steam (60% positive). But most of that seems technical (ultra wide, people don't meet the specs though they should be. Sounds like it requires more memory than it should, game not optimized). Shit many triple A games don't have some of that stuff either.

 

Also sounds like the paradox servers are fucked up with all the people trying to login. You don't have but I guess the special skins need you to be logged in. You can play offline.

 

I am having a blast with the game. I had a few times where I was almost out of money and limping through contracts, but it is a lot of fun.

 

Steam now says mostly positive. And I'm going to guess most of the issues were either the amount of traffic (so connection screwed up and files Didn't fully download), or something with the individuals computer and nothing to do with the game itself.

Also I feel like the pacing in combat is better/faster than xcom. And the firing animations are not the same which helps. In xcom it was pretty much the same for everyone.
