Exhibition match next week?

We have some down time while we sort out the conclusion of Jagermeister and complete upgrades. Who is up for a friendly exhibition game? Anyone is welcome to join! Same rules apply as the last one we did (ie you will get a small amount of XP for participation).

Also, be sure to vote which days are best for you next week (it is multiple choice) and please specify which time (in EST) is best for you.

DROP TIMES:
MEET FRIDAY (12th) & SATURDAY (13th) @ 12pm EST
DROP 30 minutes after meet time

RULES:

• Bring your campaign character & mech: get your .mul file BEFORE we drop! (ask for help if you need it)
• Any mech that a player currently owns or plans on purchasing during this downtime cycle may be used.
• Players without characters in the campaign will be limited in Tech Level to the current timeline and up to 2000 BV for their unit.
• Priority goes to people with characters, but others may join if there is room.
• Any number of observers are welcome to sit in and watch. Bring some booze!
• Map will be a randomly chosen 32x34 or larger (45x45 or larger if an Ambush is activated).
• Players on each team will roll for Leadership and Scrounge checks as usual, best rolls apply for each team.
• Leadership rolls receive no Fire Support or Initiative Bonus and XP Bonus is reduced by 1 XP, only highest Scout Support bonus is applied to each team.
• Scrounge rolls receive no C-bill bonus or BV bonus/penalty.
• "Real Blind Drop" will be disabled for all Exhibition matches to help speed up drop setup.
• 1 XP reward for participation (players who leave early may be subject to receiving no reward)
• We aren't required to complete these drops, but I would provide at least a 4 hour window if you plan to stick around for the whole thing. If people are ready to go with their .mul files and combat moves quickly, it is possible we could finish much much earlier.

I'm fairly flexible on times, wednesday night 9est and later my attention would be split between my normal bf3 Xbox session and the match

Based off the above results, looks like Friday and Staurday will be our days. One drop for each day. I would like to include as many as is realistically possible (up to 8 people... or 4 vs 4) so I'm thinking 12pm EST for both days unless someone suggests something better. People can drop in one, both or neither. From a RP perspective, this event will be a standard battle simulation during our downtime on Kobe for testing your upgraded mechs... but from a practical standpoint, it is just for fun! Drops slots are first come first serve. We might do two drops at once to keep the games moving quickly or if we have too many people to fit in a single drop.

Same here I've ended up being stuck working all week and my family decided to stay through until sat so I'll be ready for a nice relaxing megamek match sat when they leave

I thought you could do Friday? If people are having trouble meeting because of the times, I'm flexible on that. I was just trying to pick a time that was generally most convenient for all.

 

Skwi, if memory serves, can only do Sundays at the time you've specified. Not sure about his evenings, but they are also pretty cluttered... Poor Skwi.

 

well maybe we will do another friday evening.... lets see how the noon drop goes and if there is time we will do another.
