    Only thing I can of is residual files. Like if you uninstalled but it didn't delete everything (sometimes I've seen that on games where I put mod folders in. Back in the days of having to put folders in stead of an installer doing it).

    To do a clean reinstall, there are 3 folders you need to locate and delete (after uninstall):

    The part after that you can ignore unless you run into infinite loading screen problems, but that's usually the result of having mods applied after a patch; I don't think that is your problem though.

    One of the places I game at has a "Capellan" restaurant next door. I tend to spend way too much money on Kung Pao Beef.

    Soooo started a new campaign. Vanilla with no mods but saw a highlander 732b (gauss rifle one) complete mech in a store. On another planet I saw a complete king crab in the black market. I haven't even done the mission to destroy the newgrange dropship.

    maybe? probably? Because not only is it early to see complete mechs in the store but it's also early to see assault mechs. It did make me change the price of the machinegun so I could sell some and have enough money to buy those 2 mechs but The highlander has lost the right arm (thuse the gauss rifle) so now it has an AC 10. The King Crab has gotten messed up twice (first time just lost a side torso) most recent lost CT. And now it is running with an AC10 because I didn't have an AC20 and I'm not at a planet that has 1 in the store. Haven't seen any other assualt mechs in store. I do have 2 orion Ks (salvaged). I think picking up the 2 assault mechs ramped up difficulty fast. They only made things easier but not a breeze.
