Battletech Tabletop Kickstarter (Clan Invasion)

Some people already selling the new figures on ebay for 30 to 40 dollars a pop.

 

I got a shipment notice the other day.

 

So. My original notice said planned delivery yesterday. Tracking information shows sitting on a Fed Ex truck about 5 miles from here since Tuesday. It still hasn't been delivered and I can't get them to allow me to come get it either.

Now, just to eliminate natural disasters. The high temperature today is 66 farenheit. We are roughly 1800 miles from the hurricane. I am about to send a lance in to recover losttech.

 

Not 5 minutes after me posting that the box showed up on my porch. I have a crapton of mechs to paint

 

Ordered some custom water slide decals to give the miniatures some more pop.

Taurian Concordat, Magistracy of Canopus, and Smoke Jaguar.

Looking at a crystal fortress case to put all of them into.

 

Got mine the other day.



I think there's still a few things coming that haven't been finished yet, like the direct fire lance.

 

Where, pray tell, did you order some custom decals?

I can't paint anyway and trying to paint unit logos would be impossible for me.

 

Salvage blind boxes got me an extra Viper, Shadowcat, Man O/War, Urbie, and a Grayson Death Carlyle Marauder.

 

Ebay still kicking it for custom stuff.

Custom decals can sometimes be a little on the brittle side. I havent used them yet but will probably start painting up the new ones after I figure out a paint scheme for them.

Yeah. I have been debating paint scheme too. I think I will paint my legendary mechs in original colors, though I do have 2 Kerensky Dire Wolves (I had 3, gave one to a friend).

Thinking Ghost Bear for the clans. Probably Skjaldborg for the IS.

 

Got a email today about 2nd shipment getting prepped for packing.

 

Wait a minute, where are mine?!?

 

When you placed the order there was a choice in 1 or 2 order shipments. If 2 shipments there was a initial shipment of stuff and then this shipment, but if 1 it all ships in the 2nd shipment which would be this time around.

 

Oh, ok. Then I probably just have to wait for the cursed 2nd shipment then. Which would be just like me.

 

Got my 2nd box today.. Got a random Aerospace fighter which I was not expecting.

The cataphract, grasshopper, orion, and king crab are freaking sweet.

 

EVERYONE who got a wave 2 box is getting the Shilone fighter. It was in one of the kickstarter updates. (update 177 around august 17)

I think they are looking into how to get it to any backers who only got wave 1 stuff.

Also currently building my unit lists.

Most of my Innersphere assaults, heavies, and mediums will be in Taurian Guard colors. The others spread across other Taurian units with most of the doubles painted in Magistracy of Canopus unit colors.

Most of the clan mechs will be painted in Smoke Jaguar alpha and beta galaxy colors.
