Ah that. From what we discussed last night, he's going to give each lance funding to work with based off of that lance's equipment and starting pay (4mil per member) so each lance will be responsible for their own equipment and have their own separate finances from the rest of the group. I think he's plannign to get that set up in the next few days amongst the other 1523950 things he has to do. I'm not sure how he's going to divvy up tech time tho.

Well, we have a pool of NPC techs... plus quite a few members should be able to repair their own rig, like myself. So when repairing, for anybody that has levels in Tech/Mech, have them repair what they can on their own machine. But... I'd be better to wait a few days, I'd think. Once we get the structure set up correctly on the Dropbox, I think we'll be golden. :D

By the way boss, did you find the file we talked about for increasing Megamek's RAM usage? I'm planning on copying it to the dropbox so everybody can just copy it into their MekHQ folder.

Yes! 1 full gig should be plenty for most people and systems.

That's what mine is set on, I figure it should be plenty enough as well. I'll upload it tonite as well as a quick txt file on where it goes and how to modify it further.

That's the thing. We have 44 astechs, but only one tech, and he has zero minutes left.
I'm at 2 gig, just for good measure.

Looking for ideas for my next purchase. Thinking possibly either Thunderbolt or Warhammer. I know neither has jump jets but I can trade my Jumping Jack later for something more fitting.

Or... put jumps on the T-Bolt?

    Lightning DOES jump, after all.

I spec'd out a jumping Archer ARC-5R, need to do more mech lab tinkering with that sucker. 4/6/4, 2 LRM 15s with Artemis, 2 Large Pulse.

Also, if you like the T-Bolt, don't overlook the Grasshopper. With it being as close at it is to my current Hatchetman 3N (not that stinking 3S with almost all its jump jets in the legs) in weapon load out and performance, it's a very tempting mech for me to progress to.

If you want a jumping T-Bolt to work from, go with the TDR-5SE. The whole SE line is focused around jump jets, I'd use them for inspiration.

I'll need to get in there and see what prices are like and year model availability. The 5SE is a nice setup for early tech, the 7SE looks exactly like something I would like (jumps and ECM) and the 9S is intriguing as well (good weapons loadout, some atni-infantry but no jumps). The 9SE looks pretty nice too.

Time to do some trial runs I guess.

Seriously though, play around with the Grasshopper.

It uses the more reliable standard engine, unlike the T-Bolt which all seem to use XLs. If you're in-fighting, that's a big deal.

Also has 22 single heat sinks which is very nice considering the armament. 13T of armor too. Alright, you've sold me.

-5J update costs 6mil and comes out in 3049. Maybe I can get a favorable ruling?

Also, -5J still has 22 single heat sinks? I mean 22 is enough, but I would switch them to double, drop 4 or 5 and add an ECM and another medium laser or 2.

Yeah, in some cases its better to customize than buy new.

Another benefit, it's laser heavy, meaning cheap to run. Also cheaper to repair, as it doesn't have a lot of the fancy lostech that eats your pocketbook.

I dunno if I even want to know how hard it is to repair a damaged XL engine.

GHR-5H it is. I'll buy the cheaper low-tech version and maybe slowly update it as funds allow.

Now who's got 6,003,573 cbills they want to loan me? Any trade-in value for a CLNT-2-3T Clint? Low miles, vintage year model, one scratch on right arm (see pictures for details). Super fast, super tough!

For the pilot, yes. Not for the 'mech.

So, my to-do list for when the campaign file gets sorted:
    1. Get us a tech.
    2. Repair our battle damage
    3. Retcon out my HCT-3F for a HCT-3N
    4. Find a fourth
I THINK we'll have another mission yet in '36, anyone wanting me to try to squeeze in any mods before our mission? Any exp need to be spent?

From a "going forward" standpoint, it looks like this lance will consist of:
    • 1 Grasshopper
    • 1 Grasshopper or Archer ARC-5R
    • 1 King Crab
I had figured I'd go for the Grasshopper, given how good of a sell job I did on Skwi, and how close in weapons loadout it really is to my existing Hatchie. But, we're lacking any long range punch in our future state. I guess we could be brawling/urban specialists.
