Pets are funny things. I was making my character in MHW and got to the Palico part. My cat *immediately* didn't like the thing; kept hissing at it every time it made a noise. Got to the point where she would jump up between me and the screen every time the Palico would make an appearance and start growling/hissing at it. Had to quit about halfway through the prologue. Felt kind of bad for my cat, but kind of funny too. It's interesting how even when the Palico is fully clothed with a hat and everything, she still thinks it's another cat.

Cosmetic stuff should be OK. Capcom support representative said: Capcom does not support any mods created by third parties, any official mod would be published on the Steam page of the game. You can use any mods you like for the game, but it is at your own risk. If the mod only improves the graphics of the game and gives you no game play advantage, normally you should not be banned.

Small announcement to make: This Saturday the 26th will be the start of the Anniversary Festival for monster hunter world, celebrating one year of in-game activities across PC and Console. Similar to other seasonal festivals, new and returning event quests will be featured during the duration of the anniversary fest., allowing those of us who may not have had time to play to get special gear from limited time quests such as the DMC crossover and the USJ azure star gear. In addition, a themed gathering hub will be exhibited as well as a limited time skin for your palico and your little pet pig. I will be playing throughout most of the weekend, I hope those of you with the game will show up and have fun hunting monsters with me to end off the first month of the 2019. I'd also like to take this as an opportunity to get excited about the Iceborne expansion for Monster Hunter World coming this fall, as well as the 15th Anniversary of Monster Hunter as a series in March, which is probably when we can expect more news and maybe a cinematic trailer for Iceborne. Look at that massive viking geared motherfucker second from the right. Tell me you aren't looking forward to that.
