It may not be exactly what you are looking for, but make sure you at least take a look at the Thunderbolt TDR-6SE; jumpjets, gauss rifle, and a bank of medium lasers with a heat stable 40 maximum damage output make it an extremely powerful mech in its weight class.

We have an Orion that no one has claimed yet, but I can't recall any contemporary Orion build that features a Gauss. It would not be too difficult to make your own, though.

Cataphracts are somewhat rare on this side of the Inner Sphere (they tend to be more common on both sides of the major Davion borders). If you want one, it will likely have to be a special order.

 

did you check the TDR-6SE yet? you pretty much just described its loadout word for word.

another nice thing about the TDR: since it is so valuable, you can pretty much guarantee that the unit will buy it back from you with that same 20% bonus. the upgrades will still have to come out of your pocket, but an overhaul will only cost you 1.5 million and allow you to fit whatever you need. in the end, it shouldn't cost you too much more than what you put into it for the overhaul.

but then again... we still have that Orion sitting in the hangar as well...

Axevid had taken an interest in one of the Wolverines, but there is still one more and they are relatively inexpensive. It could be a strong contender; much better firepower with only a minimal loss of maneuverability.

We received a heroes farewell from the citizens of Weingarten the day we left. If i'm honest, it felt nice to get some positive recognition for once. I hear they are making a limited edition mead in our honor. They even gifted us an entire container of their most famous wines and spirits. Knowing our people, it will all be gone in a day.

Our dropships are practically bursting at the seams with salvage. We need to unload some of this before we travel anywhere far. The men are going to hate to hear it, but our best option to do that is Tamar. Duke Kelswa may hate everything we Rasalhaguers stand for, but he will still take our business.
