We are in the second half of Stage 4. I need someone from each lance to roll 1d6 to determine mission type (roll twice if you have "New Orders" activated). After that is done, we need to roll for weather conditions. After both are done, we can start drops.

Zone L4: On the approach to the Goretti Outpost, Delta Lance ran afoul of a large bandit vehicle convoy... or to put it more accurately... a bandit convoy ran afoul of Delta Lance. It was a massacre. Delta was ready with Inferno rounds and the bandits paid dearly for their interference in our affairs. Excellent work, Delta!

Zone L4: In hopes of securing the nearby Goretti outpost for themselves, some bandits had setup a firebase in a nearby rock formation. However, their makeshift fortifications did them little justice against our relentless artillery barrage. Although commencing the attack on a moonless night greatly hampered the accuracy of our artillery , the fireworks combined with poor visibility allowed Alpha Lance to creep right up on the bandits and deliver the coup de grace. The bandits barely knew what hit them.

A blowing sandstorm has forced our VTOL support to land for repairs, but most will be flight-ready again by tomorrow.

If you lost count, a Flatbed Truck with an LRM10 just caused a domino effect that killed five units. That has to be a new record in my experience.

Zone J4: To escape both Martillo and Goretti forces, Gamma Lance moved southwest hoping the highlands of Zone J4 would cover their tracks. Although they made good on their escape, the long march over difficult terrain took its toll on body, mind, and equipment. Just as they thought they could breathe a little easier, they stumbled across the battered forces of another Goretti company; no doubt seeking the area for rest and repairs as well. Despite physical exhaustion and a list of malfunctions, Gamma sallied forth and met the enemy on the field of battle. The battle was viscous and, for a time, defeat seemed very likely... but Gamma did not break. In the end, the field was held, the Gorettis were shattered, and all of Gamma gave a collective sigh of relief.

Zone L4: Rather than give the bandits more time to dig in any further, Alpha Lance continued their attack on the outpost. As the blistering desert sun rose further into the sky, Alpha finally reached their main objective. The bandits had deployed formidable defenses and still had quite a few operational tanks. However, they had lost the use of their nearby firebase and with its loss, they had no way to counter our artillery. Waiting just out of range of their guns, we watched with morbid amusement as our artillery rained down on them with impunity. Rather than wait to die, some of their tanks attempted to ride out to meet us on the battlefield. Our mechs were still in poor shape from our previous encounter, but we managed to cut them down before they could do too much damage. The bandit defenses on the eastern wall now lie in total ruin. The way is open for Delta Lance to deliver the final blow and then we can claim our prize.
