    I'm game for either night as well, I could use a walkthrough on how to do it myself. There are some things that I couldn't figure out in mekhq as far as missing sections giving errors after they had been ordered and replaced.

    It has now been four days since the initial attack. All surviving members of the unit have returned from police custody... except Alpha Lance. There has been no contact with them since they were detained and you begin to fear the worst.

    However, those who have returned report cool, but fair treatment by the authorities. You wonder why Alpha has been detained with no contact if everyone else was let go. However, as you start to piece together individual stories, one word keeps popping up: Kobe.

    Memories flood back to that cursed planet... the Tamar Union... Shepard. Delta Lance was smart enough to play dumb during interrogation until more information could be gained on the nature of this recent attack. It is likely Tamar authorities didn't know of their full involvement. Everyone had hoped the events of Operation Jagermeister were behind them... it appears that may not entirely be the case.

    What do you do?...

    Well if we're going to do anything brash and reckless, it would be unfair to let Alpha Lance miss out on the action. I vote for prison break Alpha Lance. All in favor raise a hand. *raises detached arm with other arm*

    Seriously though, do we know where they are and can we get them back into their mechs? If not let's round up a tank or two for their escape. A light and fast VTOL would be nice too. An eye in the sky to help us keep an eye out for enemy mechs, and I'm not strictly talking about the authorities here. We already know someone has it out for us, lets go in prepared. Any other suggestions?

    The SoR legal team advises against a jail break... Tamar is no backwater world. The consequences of any such action would be... "severe" to say the least (you have many other options available to you). Furthermore, no one has been arrested or charged with anything (as far as you know) so a jail break would be a very extreme action. Again, as far as you know, the members of Alpha Lance are being held "for questioning" at the police headquarters in Tamar City (that was the last place you saw them).

    Think... what would be your logical options given the resources you have?

    I'm dumb, travel makes me stupid. I can't seem to follow complex plotlines this week (this campaign, prometheus, etc :p)

    *shrug* Well fine. The "LOGICAL", albiet less fun, option would be for us to simply call up the authorities at Tamar City and ask after the well being of Alpha Lance. They were polite and cooperative enough to send everyone else home, so we should get a reasonably speedy answer about Alpha. If they refuse to answer or release we could try local channels to find out more. Send a few guys on "shore leave" right into Tamar City and ask around. Loose lips sink ships and what have you. Why is the amputee on the gurney overdosing pain meds masterminding this? Other ideas? Anyone? Bueller?

    Just think of the pain meds as amplified creative helpers, no reason to be stuck thinking in the box when we have you doped up!

    While not official, we are stuck with a lance of our unit being held as hostages, the Duke while not locking us up outright doesn't seem that he wants us around either. Not a realistic chance of going up toe to toe with him, or living up to our commando name with what would happen if we are found out. (something that would happen eventually)

    We do have several negotiators and I'm sure a few FRR sympathizing merchants around the city with as much support came from this way during the Combine days. Perhaps one to talk with the authorities and see what might accidentally slip out there, not that we can count on much there. And then focus on the less than legal contacts we might have, hopefully the rumor mill is in full swing and we can get some information to try and pry apart for the actual truth of who we are up against.

    For resources we have quite a few pilots left as well as a hodge podge of repaired to crippled mechs for them. We also should have some tanks and scout vehicles, not sure on aerospace and vtol assets. We have plenty of ammo and supplies with our refit underway from the last campaign.

    Magnus, can we do a quartermaster check (think thats the right one, still learning all of this) to get a better idea what our resources are before trying to parade a couple of lances of mech around "gathering" information?

    Well the idea isn't really to go parading mechs around at this point regardless of what material resources we have, but I think we both have the right idea otherwise. Just drop some negotiation check lines in the right places and see what bites.

    Oh, okay. Alpha is being held HOSTAGE? Can someone refresh me on Kobe, the Tamar Union, and what I should have had mentally triggered by that to help explain why they were capture? :sad:

    First step, negotiation. Don't we have some of their pilots/material from the ambushes? Can we use that as leverage?

    Not officially Hostages, but they haven't been returned to us from the questioning that the authorities have been giving all of us. If they aren't free to return to us then I'd say they were hostages.

    I think it might go back to something dealing with Otack shooting first during the middle of negotiations while under a white flag. ;)

    also capturing whats her name the redhead, her escaping then helping alert us to the bomb trap thing that almost killed us trying to rescue one or two of our pilots that had been captured. I think there was a building that was about brought down on top of the team sent to rescue our pilots.

    or at least that's whats coming to mind
    I suspect the Tamar folks aren't exactly happy that we put down their little insurrectionist movement and want to cause us some pain. Next time I vote we make a couple more jumps before stopping to resupply and avoid this whole region. Their passive aggressive independence movements are very light on the passive and heavy on the aggressive side when it comes to FRR mercs it seems..
