What follows is a true accounting of events. Let any who dispute its validity have their tongues forcibly ripped from their heads. Let their testicles shrivel in their scrotum, let their uterus spontaneously combust. Thus it is this, that I, Lt. Kulandinglar, put forward as my report of action.
Upon release from local constables, we did find that members of ye "Alpha Lance" had been made absent from our presence. Inquiry was made. An escape, it was claimed, yet this tale did ring hollow. Further propagation of information provided intelligence that a ruse was afoot. Escape? Nay, Alpha Lance was absconded with by members loyal to the local Duchy. Whereupon we did maneuver to the Comstar HPG to send our initial report.

After Command was notified, we did call upon this puffed up jackanape, to ascertain the location of our compatriots. Aha, the veil was removed. A double ruse! No abduction was this, but a clever ploy at secrecy. We had been retained by the Duke in an effort to provide legal cover, as we, in his name, retaliated against factions with whom he had political ties, namely, elements from Skye. It was those blaggarts who had ambushed our forces.

Contract negotiated, we proceeded to the satellite of Tamar, whereupon we did set ourselves against elements of Skye. Beneath a twinkling starfield, we did ambush those who had done to us harm, upon the atmosphere enshrouded planetary surface. Assisted by recon and fire support elements, including the esteemed Manfredino "Magic" Morandi commanding a Goblin IFV-S.

A two pronged attack did follow, with our fire support elements drawing the attention of two opposition Griffons, while our lance and recon element demolished their third Griffon, and set about the dismantling of their commandant, riding upon the fearsome aspect of an Axman. While Lars provided covering fire from twin LB-10X for the Goblin tanks as they reaped mighty devastation, a deadly struggle ensued.

Catching the Axman upon the plain, I did bravely place myself within the way of harm, so that my compatriots might have opportunity to achieve desired outcome. Circling their remaining tin soldier, I did draw him towards me, encouraging him to turn his back upon danger. Intercepting the falling ax, though, tragically, not before a breach of cockpit, Skwisgaar was able to fall upon the brute and with a dramatic snickersnack, embed his own hatchet upon the scowling visage of our foe. His death, I fear, was instantaneous. We can never know how painful, but I do so hope it was grand.

For myself, I was able to survive the rapid decompression. My heroic actions would not be those of a martyr. A suitable period of convalescence should see my hurts mended, while my fighting spirit and glorious leadership remain unmolested.

Update:

I work 12hr shifts Friday and Sunday. Both days I won't be home until 8pm EST. Saturday I am free all day. Beta and Gamma have yet to drop for Turn 2, but the expiration date on that is fast approaching. I want to have the current campaign wrapped up by Feb 8th (hint: SCHEDULE YOUR DROP ASAP!!).

I have a friend coming to visit after the 8th and will be "preoccupied".

I've been in contact with Gamma. There has been some developments and I might need to move the deadline up. I am free for drops until Friday. My friend is coming in earlier than I expected and she wants to do a road trip with me.

Insurgent Outpost (designation: IO Gamma)

Thanks to the efforts of Gamma Lance and commando teams from Duke Kelswa's 1st Tamar Hussars, Ravenwater and Wagner from Beta Lance have been rescued. The insurgents (whose true affiliations we are still sorting out) are all but obliterated. We've managed to capture a few who were too injured or too scared to kill themselves. Some of Kelswa's men are working them over with interrogations this very moment. We should know more in the next few days to come.

Our boys, however, were not alone during their captivity. There are at least another dozen here who claim to be members of the Tamar Union movement. It gets better, though. One of them is an all too familiar face: Judith Shepard. She has a lot to answer for, but the short version is this:

After she gave us the slip on Kobe, she had attempted to blackmail certain shadowy figures using incriminating evidence she had collected. The events on Kobe... the Tamar Union... the attacks on Tamar... they are all connected and someone was willing to pay top dollar to cover their tracks. According to Shepard, all was going according to plan until her crew mutinied and sold her out to the insurgents to save their own skins.

I don't have any reason to trust her, but she seems more pissed off at them than concerned about running into us again. Strangely, she seems almost happy to see us; before carting her off to a more secure holding area she made some off-handed comment about "maybe there is still time". I can't tell what she knows... not yet anyway... but she knows something... something big. Time to get some answers. No more games.
